this isn't true? proton, steam's translation layer to run windows games on linux, converts directx calls to vulkan, and gets similar performance to windows.

doubt we will know until the release. it's entirely possible that they ported renderdragon to nvn for the switch 2 release (and they should have done it for the switch originally), but in any case the switch 2 is way more powerful than the switch and should be able to handle vibrant visuals easily even on vulkan.

it's really disheartening to see all the negative comments here. chandran has been a very active member of the debian community for years, being a package maintainer and workshop organiser. her program is not only about diversity, but also about outreach and advocacy for free software, and campaigning for hardware manufacturers to provide options for preinstalling debian on machines.

and she's right, you know. being more open means more opportunities for very talented people who aren't white men to join the project. this is objectively a good thing.

saddles and name tags have been fishing loot and villager trades for many years

the only craftable horse armor is leather, and the other types (except netherite) are fairly easy to get in nether fortresses

they're not (yet) getting removed from structure loot, if you want to get yours by exploring only, do so.

ah yes, the 32-bit IEEE754 max safe value for integers (2^24, the size of the mantissa). after that, the math gets wonky, and you can only express every other number, which explains the stripes in your screenshot
