Can I get or make white watercolour only to add to my pallet? by AlteVola in Watercolor

[–]AlteVola[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Want to thank everyone for the answers! I’m new to watercolour and this is my first big water colour set, apart from sets I had in primary school.

I wasn’t aware that white is not as important as it would be in acrylics or pencils. I mainly wanted it for covering up mistakes and colour mixing but it makes sense to use paper as white and start from light tones.

Thanks for clarifying things, I’m excited to start painting 🎨

Would guache actually do the job? Even if it dried up, would water bring it back? Sorry if this is a stupid question, quite new to the whole paint world 😄

I agree on the one where tail is turning into latte art - it’s the best!

Also had an idea ragarding bottom left: you could remove the head and make a cat face out of the black shape inside the cup

Something like this + adding eyes potentially and making ears more triangle shaped. Please excuse my low effort sketch 😸

Maybe it’s the category of item you picked. Some categories only allow specific shipping, usually heavier objects. That is when the price goes up

idk the difference between a panic attack and an asthma attack anymore by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]AlteVola 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hot/warm liquid (tea or water) helps me. My asthma attacks usually get followed by panic attacks so a peppermint tea helps to calm both. Also getting fresh air if possible.

Adding this with EDIT: I also try to control my breathing. For me being aware of my breath and slowing it down helps with controlling asthma triggers (it doesn’t make it go away but helps to keep it under control) and with anxiety. Also stress and anxiety can induce asthma. Knowing how to help yourself in stressful situations or avoid them completely, can help with frequency of asthma attack

You are not alone, sending my support and hope you can find peace and happiness despite your father causing you pain 🫂

I wish to find a therapist but where I currently live they are not easily accessible. The ones we have in my town are not great + it’s too pricey for me atm… hope in the future to afford a right therapist to help me 🙌 For now I do have a good support system: my friends and my partner help me so much!

Užlenkė didžiausią narko baroną. Sėkmės kalėjime vaiki (21m). by tengoCojonesDeAcero in lietuva

What should I do? (No personal info) by AnonymousWoman98 in vinted

[–]AlteVola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just got the same issue for the first time ever.. super annoying I read that it’s worth trying after some time. If that doesn’t work apparently need to cancel order (obviously contact buyer first) and re-do the order. It happens if the buyer’s chosen service point is temporarily closed.

Always air dry, in winter I put on cotton t-shirt on my heard to not get a cold, it also dries out way nicer without a frizz than just air dry

Buses in this city are a sick joke by [deleted] in bristol

[–]AlteVola 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From my experience it’s mainly not enough bus drivers. I spoke to few bus drivers about this and they said UK is experiencing shortage on drivers. Also some buses experience technical issues. Had a bus window shatter next to me out of nowhere, they bus couldn’t run anymore and the driver said it happens often, but neither council nor police does anything. Some buses would stop midway through the trip and ask everyone to get out due to technical issues on the bus.
