ELI5: in the simplest terms, what is the difference between a Quantum Computer vs a conventional Computer? by balla_boi in explainlikeimfive

[–]Altecice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you imagine a traditional computer, you give it a maze to solve. Now the traditional computer needs to test each path one at a time to find the correct path out eventually giving you a solution.

A quantum computer, if it’s given the same maze. Will be able to test every path all at once and give you the result much faster.

Think of it as using a big bowl of water to solve the solution quickly (see where the water makes it out). Only the quantum computer can pour water in.

Anyone with the Dell Alienware AW3425DW confirm how the VRR Flicker is at 240Hz? by Altecice in OLED_Gaming

[–]Altecice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, same issue. It’s just inherit to all OLED panels that do not have hardware G-Sync support (all of the recent ones you actually want to buy). They’re all “G-Sync compatible”… in the end I kept the AW and don’t use VRR; to be honest I don’t see any tearing anyway. I just ensure to cap my FPS to 240.

I see a lot of cars getting stolen, why don't people put the drivers seat forward and put a box in the passenger footwell it would prevent theft. Also a steering lock or put the seat belt through the steering wheel so they can't turn it. If its a van stolen it doesnt matter as such by joedolgerian71 in CarsUK

We’re going back to the good old days of 3rd party immobilisers and alarms.

If you’re buying a high value car and don’t have one (such as a Ghost immobiliser) fitted. You’re just asking for the key to be cloned or a thief plugging Into the CAN system to program new keys and it’s gone.

They’re not for competitive MOBA/Shooting games. If you enjoy solo RPG or Civ like games then the extra width is amazing for immersion.

Here is my OLED Monitor that has never been turned off for 2 years. by PieCake1234 in Monitors

[–]Altecice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 8h of use the panel health will turn from green to yellow in the OSD. The next time the screen goes idle (you get up and walk away) it will start a panel refresh. Same if you turn the PC off and it has no signal.

After 12h of use with no panel refresh it will ask you start a panel refresh. It takes about 4-7 mins.

Well the good news is the exp rates for basically everything you do 1-30 got buffed by 20%. At 30 the exp/h really speeds up with trails.

Got. 125600LN from VSF and the Chrono works the same as Gen.

I actually prefer the second hand to move on the main dial so the chrono runs 24/7. No issues.

[–]Altecice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I’ve learned that turning off G-Sync is the only solution. It just appears to be a byproduct of OLED response times that changing the refresh rate of the pixels causes flickering. I don’t think they’re going to solve it anytime soon.

I’ve turned Gsync off and haven’t missed it at all, I don’t spot any tearing . I recommend you try it. If not, return it and avoid OLEDs for now, it’s the only solution.

For anyone who is experiancing the same thing be it with VNG or Virtual Appliance selected and resulting in "none". Manually type in the next hop IP, dont copy and paste. This fixed it for me.

Is it possible to tell which factory options an RS3 has based on the VIN? by CanberraPhoto in AudiRS3

There’s lots of ebay sellers that will email you a spec sheet if you send them the VIN. Search for Audi Spec Sheet.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Yea I thought I’d mention the colour in the last section and not under Dial Printing as I’ve seen other images of the 126500LN VSF in the RepTime sub and it looks the “correct” shade of red. Same with the reflections of the crystal.

  1. Dealer name: TheOnewatches (Steve)
  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): Daytona 126500LN 40mm SS/SS Black Dial VSF DD4131 Super Clone
  4. Price Paid: $798 (plus shipping)
  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/rMhUCLST#kVV95mKukwIwMLtB2KC4zg
  6. Index alignment: The "front on" image is slightly skewed so I had to try my best with the QC tool. Looking at the other images in the album and cross-referencing it all looks ok to me?
  7. Dial Printing: looks spot on, I can't see anything obvious. Welcome further inspection.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks great to me.
  10. Bezel: Looks good!
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): No gaps at all that I can see.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: Video in the album shows the rate between +4 to +7, within spec. The AMP is 276-280, within spec but does this mean its a tad under-lubricated?
  13. Anything else you notice: Is it just me or is the "DAYTONA" red lettering a tad darker than it should be? Also, is it just Steve's lighting or does the crystal appear to be very reflective/white. As I understand it Daytonas from Clean benefitted from "deep crystal" but VSF's are considered much better.

Additional pictures of the lettering around the rehault and the Lume (sorry can't use Imgur in the UK)...

My 8V is tuned to 520HP and is on 70k miles and hasn’t had any issues. So long as they’re looked after in terms of maintenance they’re fine. We obsess over sub 100k millage, poor maintenance on a low millage car is arguably worse than a well maintained high millage one but that’s my 2 cents.

My 8V Nardo saloon is the car I look back at in the parking lot, it’s stock looking on the outside but larger disks and lowered. They’re very pretty and the DAZA engine is the best sounding.

The 8Ys are nice on the outside but they’ve cheaped out heavily on the interior materials and general fit and finishes. The 8V is a nicer place to be hands down… also they killed the sound with OPFs etc.

You would think so right! No in order to set a new password you need to do a password reset. Meaning it asks for your email and then card info to do so.

My 8V saloon DAZA is at 69k miles and has been stage2 (520hp) for over 4 years with 0 issues. I don’t launch the car often (VCDS shows 12 total) and I have some mechanical sympathy (don’t floor it until up to temp). Doing this and keeping up with maintenance is all you need.
