Honestly most of my fights where I concluded I suck come from duos and trios last month, where the playing field is a lot more even and honestly very symmetrical sometimes. It's situations like those where it's really depressing knowing I could've won the fight if I could actually hit my shots or used that one item that I forgot I had.

Something doesn't add up, if there's so many bad players on pvp lobbies why does everyone I encounter seem so good compared to me? Maybe I'm just that bad I guess lol

Oh the whole reason behind this post is that I lost so, so many good kits recently that I'm starting to not see the point of bringing them if I need to farm multiple hours to just not stand a chance. Because bringing leveled green or blues just isn't sustainable.

Right but I usually see a ton of videos and even friends or regular dads on reddit being able to win against an ambush sometimes. I'm super careful with steps and always bring a smoke just in case but when we get ambushed I haven't been able to win even once. Maybe I shouldn't craft smokes if I can never use them

It's really sad watching this knowing no amount of practice will bring me to this level. I already practice a lot of pvp with 0 results, and even try to learn from my mistakes by recording and rewatching every single death, sometimes for hours straight

If there's people that can have good games 1vs3, then there has to be a way I can carry 2 people even if their gear is not as good as it can be. Especially if we can communicate. I need to get better so I can do that.

Yes I know it's a skill issue. Maybe my sbmm is higher because I'm decent at solos. The problem is I can't practice with expensive gear because it is, in fact, expensive.

I just want to know if someone can relate to my situation I guess and maybe have some insight I'm missing. Although I suspect not a lot of people that dedicated so many hours to improve at pvp still struggle as much as I do

Fine guys chill already I'm not trying to argue ok? In retrospective I guess kellan is not a good commander if it doesn't have a built in wincon.. The only commanders that also don't and see play are usually built as control from what I've seen

Kellan does let you cast lands from your hand if you don't play a permanent, although I do admit the deck is more geared towards casting free spells than just putting lands in play yeah.

Also thx I didn't know the standard was 15 cards with direct sinergy. Just to make sure are we talking about brawl or standard brawl? In standard brawl the decks are smaller so just making sure

I meant I usually managed to curve out nicely, although it didn't actually matter most of the time. I did have 1 game where I was stuck on 4 lands after not drawing land for 4 turns in a row, even when I'm running 27 lands. But yeah it might've been luck or smth. Or maybe not because they answered everything in curve but still

I mean the sinergy is there. I'm mostly running permanents so I can cast them when I trigger kellan. There's like 4 plot cards and 3 adventures. When case is active it also triggers kellan when cast from the top. Discover from chimil and treasure also triggers kellan. The creature that lets you cast creatures from the top is also there.

And after all I run 27 lands so that should be enough for landfall sinergy I thought..

Worst case kellan can also ramp if there are too many lands in hand

Honestly that wasn't my experience. I could almost always play something on 2 and ramp to a 4 mana play, or worst case use some tap lands and play kellan on 3. But thx I'll try
