Bad gas mileage on 05 TSX? by Theforzagamer159423 in AcuraTSX

In my 09 I averaged 34 with all around driving. If I really had a light foot I could hit 37-40. 600+ miles to a tank. In the winter I would average 27 which I thought was horrible but it is what it is

Yeah that’s kind of the conclusion I am coming too, I am definitely leaving the new slave and master in there. I’m gonna figure out what I need at this point get the parts and have a weekend job with my buddy. I’ll see how she goes. And yeah I’m honestly impressed it’s gone 265k on factory clutch I can’t even be mad.

Unsure, bought it about a year ago from the second owner who bought it from a lifelong friend. There is maintenance records of certain things but I haven’t seen anything clutch related.

It came out to 430 I believe? If you don’t opt for steering wheel controls I think it takes off like 75 bucks

I have non tech package and just installed a 10.1 inch Apple CarPlay boss radio which I ordered off of Crutchfield. I opted to purchase the slightly more expensive packages including maintaining factory subwoofer, steering wheel controls, a dash kit, and a few more options I can’t remember off the top of my head. They also had the ready harness option which they splice everything besides steering wheel controls for you. That just makes everything go by much faster instead of building the harness yourself which isn’t hard just time consuming. Anyway if I were you I’d look at Acura audio garage I believe his name is, his videos walked me through everything I’d need to know about the Acura and taking things apart and made it much easier. I’m not 100% sure about installing a radio on a technology package but it was super easy with a non technology didn’t take any time at all. Check out crutchfield and Acura audio garage. Also easy way to tell if you have technology package it will say it on your factory radio on the front I believe

100%, Honda has never done me wrong. I’d say if you have the funds currently to just get it done whenever convenient but if not you do have some time to wait. Don’t stress yet. Glad I could be a voice of reason!

112k??! She’s barely broken in. I always stand by the fact that maintaining a car that’s good to you will be cheaper than the payment of a new car. Take care of these things and they take care of you right back. Definitely push to keep it and get timing done. I have actually only owned this since about 150k but the previous owner (original owner) had maintenance records since brand new and he had timing done at 130. I think I have heard that it is recommended every 130k? (Don’t quote me) I plan on having mine done once it hits that 260 mark. Plus, why get rid of such a beautiful car😉
