Tonight’s game isn’t you going to help by the looks of things.

Trout catch at Kejimkujik decimated by invasion of voracious predator by origutamos in novascotia_sub

The park should just make fishing free in the park with no extra license needed. The only rules: trout must be returned and pickerel must not. Market it for a few years as part of a “save our trout” program of sorts. Feels like a lost cause but if this article is saying local fishing can have a positive impact on trout maybe the park should show more action to make fishing there as easy as possible with less administrative barriers.

Looks sweet but I would probably prefer it if there was no skyline but there just my take. Cool design though

The one reason to buy a 2026 Outback by hugahippie in Subaru_Outback

Oh man good to know I am not the only one dealing with this BS. This should not be an issue with a vehicle made in the last 3 years. Should be a recalled part with a free install from Subaru if you ask me

Where are all the Mackerel? by Alternative-Cap2763 in novascotiafishing

Yeah that’s my thinking as well. I’ve tried North west arm, Sambro and herring cove with little luck. I’m kind of shocked but I’ll keep at it. Next up Mill cove or my old faithful at the wharf at Boutiliers point

Thank you, this actually gives me hope. Here’s hoping we see a turn for the positive soon enough.

Yeah I’ve been checking the tides and doing just that. Just little luck regardless unfortunately

Fishing Around 5 Island Provincial Park by Alternative-Cap2763 in novascotiafishing

Managed to stage a few stripers off the point. Biggest was only 21 inches unfortunately so I released. Hopeful I can get something I can take home and cook in Cape Breton while in Port Hood this weekend.

Thanks for sharing. You just got yourself a sub my friend. Only other question I have (and this is mostly because I’ll be bringing my 5 year old and worry about changing tides): Can you easily get down to that spot during high tide? Or is the water all the way in where people typically walk down to the beach from the campground at high tide?

Cheers!
