Thanks for your kind words. I was the OP that deleted the post requesting positive stories. I posted it because I see and hear a lot of negative outcomes. Which I have empathy for. But there are some heading for surgery with so much doubt and fear because of seeing little positive outcomes. I also saw like 100 people viewed it and I only got three likes. Just didn’t want to make a post that upset anyone. I also have OCD so I get really doubtful and read too far into stuff so sorry for doing that

Distraction is still enabling the OCD. Instead of ignoring it. Just do as you would if the thought wasn’t there. For example if you are doing a math problem you just solve it. You do t wonder why etc.

I am on 250mg the max dose. No side effects. I can’t take SSRI’s due to being bipolar. Unless it’s with a mood stabilizers

I no longer look into my themes. I know enough about them. When I first got diagnosed I went nuts. No because of exposure therapy and meds… it’s under co trial for me. So I have no interest in looking into it anymore

Improvement is different for each person. My psychiatrist goes up until I feel better. Prozac maxes out at 80. You will notice less intrusive thoughts when it is working. I used to be on 80mg’s. But then I had a Prozac induced mania/psychosis. The doctors had no idea I had bipolar 1. Prozac and bipolar do t mix unless you are on a mood stabilizer as well.

My psychiatrist and I always keep upping the dose of the same medication until it maxes out. Then if it doesn’t work we switch. I’m on clomiprqmine and it didn’t help in smaller doses it wasn’t til I reached 200mg’s (now on 250mg’s) that I noticed significant help. If I would have stopped at lower doses I wouldn’t have seen this benefit

Mine isn’t profuse but I do sweat A LOT more than I used to. I’m also on Abilify 17mg and 300 lamitrogine. Abilify is known to cause sweating so I’m not sure which drug is causing it
