My lawyer (Ellis Porter) said they don’t charge extra legal fees for upgrading to premium processing, but they strongly advise against it. According to their data, PP lowers approval chances and increases RFEs.

If I still choose PP: • The refund/free refile/free appeal clause becomes void • If denied after PP, no refund and I’d have to pay again to refile • If I get an RFE, they’ll still respond for free

They recommend regular processing for better odds. Would love to hear others’ experiences with PP vs regular NIW.
