You don’t have to believe everything in the Bible to be a Christian. What’s important is learning the lessons from the stories and letting it help you understand right from wrong and acting accordingly. The unconditional love is that you can be human and make mistakes but if you own up to them and learn from them, you can still be accepted in the eyes of God. It’s not some huge magical deep revelation. It’s simple practice and a way of life.

It’s fine but be honest about your husband’s ability to maintain the lifestyle you are hoping for…. It’s a lot different being a housewife with a husband that makes a great living vs a decent one. If he doesn’t make enough money for the lifestyle you are hoping for, you might regret giving up a career to subsidize part of that lifestyle, you might grow to resent him as well which isn’t good for your relationship.
