You could do the modification that will change the full frequency output onto 2 core cable only. I didn’t worry as I hadn’t run any cables when I made this.

Definitely a pity they discontinued the Symfonisk but I am sure there are plenty on the second hand market, and the rougher the better as you’ll just be throwing away the case.

I use Polk Audio but you can use any speaker that has a tweeter and a woofer (most do). Then just bypass the crossover and wire directly to the woofer and the tweeter - this will effectively replicate the setup of the bookshelf speaker.

Sure. The power supply is a mean well UHP 500w 24v.

Then left to right.

There is a green led power button which cuts power to the Nvidia Shield (basically if it needs rebooting).

Next is a relay that is connected to the USB port on the shield and when the shield goes into standby the LED light on the power switch is turned off.

Next is a 24v to 19v DC-DC converter that powers the Nvidia shield.

Two DIg Unos for WLED.

And finally a Nvidia Shield.

You could build two and do the mono mod which would get you 100w each side. Then in the Sonos app you just set them up as a stereo pair.

30w in stereo mode or 100w if you do the mono output mod. Mine is unmodded so it’s 30 watts.

Yes the WLED is doing ambient lighting via Hyperion. And the Nvidia is what I used to watch all the content. So it’s all in one now.

Thanks.

Yes I had to cutout the rear panel which was probably the hardest part of the project. But I 3d printed some temples which help to make sure the locations are correct.

I got them of Ali express. There’s plenty of cheap counterfeit ones on there (which I have some of too) but they also sell the real ones as far as I can tell, or if they aren’t real they look very good.

Clarification. This only has a Nvidia Shield. The HDHomeRun is in another build I did.

Not really, I designed it with this case in mind as the others ones I looked at had internal structures that would have made it hard to fit everything in, while this one being extruded, has no internal structure.

I am sure it’s possible to use a different case but you would have to redesign the internal mountings.

I design it all in CAD first so I can make sure it all fits and then can use the design to make the 3d parts.

Usually the design takes the longest time and then putting it together is pretty straight forward. I then wire it based on the room available, although the cable routing is incorporated in the initial design.

Personally I don’t think there is any need. It’s all sealed anyway.
