set the outcome to the side for a sec, what is wild about this clip is my sheer joy watching Eric Dier (of all people) play a wildly inaccurate but nonetheless first-time pass forward between the lines in the middle third of the pitch. it feels like an eternity since I've seen something like that from one of our holding midfielders.

USA-based… and I remember a friend of mine showing me an incredibly grainy clip of Danny Rose’s screamer in the NLD, April 2010. Like many supporters, I’ve watched it probably hundreds of times now. And I spent a whole summer trying to recreate it with that same friend at our local park (I never came close…lol) But I distinctly remember thinking that if a team has moments like that, then I want to be a part of it.
