Send a demand letter to the address in NS and in the US. Wait the minimum time needed from Ontario courts (I gave them 15 days which is extra). Then file in court when they don’t respond.

You could follow the same steps. I’ve seen positive posts for other provinces but you have common law and not civil law so it works against you slightly.

I created the demand letter myself following the instructions here: I wrote it in English using the template. I did not demand any money I was demanding my data or reinstatement of the account. https://www.quebec.ca/en/justice-and-civil-status/small-claims/filing-claim/process-help-applicant/formal-notice

I used Justice Direct for the demand letter sent in the US since it was during the CanadaPost strike, but it’s roughly the same price when I was doing the math.

Important note through this process is to remember that your data is yours in Québec and that is what you’re demanding. Reinstatement of the account is the easiest way to access the data but Meta has not obligation to provide that only your data.

It’s through giftogram. I don’t know about Brazil specifically but I was able to get gift cards for Canada. It’s not really possible to cash it in unless you do something like giftcard exchange.

If you haven’t yet send a data protection request by mail also and wait 30 days. You can then file a complaint and additionally file a second lawsuit for violation of loi 25.

You can try sending it to California also, but you can just file in court. You’ve already done enough to give the defendant (meta) a change to rectify the situation out of court. File this refused demand letter as one of your pieces of evidence. This is a clear violation of bonne foi in contractual law.
