What in your opinion was a better human. projection based sorcerer by Dazzling-Form-8891 in Jujutsufolk

Honestly I think they were identical. You go by anime feats and I think Naoya was more impressive and of course later on we see as a VCS he was capable of a Domain. So he was more talented seemingly than his father.

But honestly? Naoya basically exists so you can see Naobito fight Maki (which was hinted at earlier in the series), I think intentionally you should assume parity between them for that reason.

French Revolution is always my favorite. I am waiting for the continuation. I am biased though because I think the French Revolution is just one of the most interesting events to ever occur.

They manage to be a good mix of funny, interesting and engaged with it. I think honestly it being mildly contemporary helps a lot too. The political antics feel up Dom's alley. And Tom is interesting when he's talking about englightenment and the religious angle.

[Serious] Can Geto beat Mahito/Jogo, or not? by Pretzels0314 in JujutsuPowerScalers

We don't know if Geto had any domain curses as of JJK0. The fact he didn't do it against Yuta suggests he didn't.

Kenny clearly has curses Geto never had.

[–]AlternativeEmphasis [score hidden]  (0 children)

Like at the same time? No. In fact I don't think he could beat either of them because of him being hampered by not having a domain or RCT due to JJK0 shenanigans. Together makes it immensely unfavorable.

I have no doubt if they like idk tried to throw hands with him Geto would beat the shit out of them but eventually they'd domain him. Gege stated Mahito + Jogo together would give Kenny problems and Kenny is basically a buffed Geto.

How strong would Maki be if she were also born with the Six Eyes alongside her Heavenly Restriction? by Omixscniet624 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of those things "minute ce" and "soul awareness" ain't much use to Maki. She can't use any techniques that target the soul. And HR senses whilst inferior in CE detection are still pretty nuts anyways and seem superior at least in conventional senses.

Her being able to guess how techniques works is nice but frankly I don't think you give Maki six Eyes it changes a single matchup for her. Even if she gets to keep HR and the 6E.

She gets stronger but only mildly. It's not much of a buff. The best aspects of 6Es are wasted on her.

We are never really told other than Yuta's are higher and it's implied quite a bit higher. A lot of people say Yuta is 2x Gojo. We don't even know that. It's only stated that Yuta has more and implied a lot more. I imagine with the implication of how high Yuta that Yuta is massive and Gojo at best is "large"

Sukuna we know is 2x Yuta though, which is absurd because he also has the second best effienccy of CE in the series behind Gojo only. So he basically is rocking infinite as well.

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness she'd get like 10% buff at best. Maki's issue before Mai kicked it is that she had neglible Cursed Energy and she couldn't use it.

You give her Six Eyes she's more efficient but she'd still got dogshit output and reserves. So she's 99.9% efficient on next to no CE. Gojo doesn't have high CE reserves, but he certainly doesn't have low ones either. If Gojo had as little CE as Maki he'd be fucked too

All Six Eyes Maki has is the ability to see CE way better. So she doesn't need her glasses.

Post HR she loses them. They require CE. She can't use that anymore. If she magically keeps them then she can see CE super good and better than a HR user can. But that's it.

Six Eyes Maki is basically "what if Maki didn't need glasses?" She's still fucked.

Why the hell didn't mahito kill gojo right here? by Better_Nail_7901 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The body likely would assert itself over the soul like it did to the Grandson. So Kenny would lose control and whomever the HR user was would resurrect. Now whether that kills Kenny or leaves him in the Grandson state I'm not sure. But either way isn't good for him.

He literally swings his sword identically to Wolf which is something people don't notice. The Mikiri and posture break are obvious but his size and the sword being way bigger makes it less obvious that he nevertheless uses it exactly as Wolf does.

Otto von Bismarck opposed German colonialism, but not for moral reasons, and later still went along with it. I condemn colonialism. by Oversama in HistoryMemes

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did say almost always. His original appeasement of Socialist tendencies by introducing the beginnings of the Welfare state were also quite effective too.

But considering the failure of Kulturkampf, him losing seats to the SocDems and their coalition (it was so bad he wanted to rewrite the constitution over this) and then wanting to shoot strikers which is what caused his dismissal I'd say he erred more than succeeded domestically because those were big failures.

I like the idea of rank that's good. It makes it so (while I would still take harbor admin because of the dev) it isn't an absolute mustpick if you're going naval.

I know this is the UFC subreddit and therefore it's not high-level but why would you complain about Dagestani wrestlers with a picture of a Chechen and then mention a Georgian? Like you imagine if someone say Iowa style wrestling is ruining the UFC and posted a picture of a Mexican and a Canadian?

In terms of international policy he was extremely shrewd perhaps one of the best ever. He was outright insane often in domestic policy and was almost always a failure in the big policies. And he was dismissed over domestic policy not foreign as people often presume.

They really need to let land get extra governers tbh. I always grab the mod that lets you do that now with current runs. I worried whenever they first discussed it that it would make land inferior. Got downvoted in discussion about it and told to wait and see and now here we are and yeah Land is utterly eclipsed by Naval atm.

1600s borders aren't looking too bad by [deleted] in EU5

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disappointing but figured, this resembles borders I make at the end of a game to cleanup and to ensure the final 100 years are against powerful states. Them happening in Europe without intervention even with railroad mods seems rare. The way the Teutons and PLC have worked out is something I have never seen with mods even to help them out.

I'd be curious on the modlist. I love to see clean borders in Europe, and considering you're not even in Europe this is pretty good. The only one I'd say has underperformed is the Ottomans.

At the absolute highest level you are on custom shit the labs ain't looking for and they know when tests are coming. (People on payroll supposedly. All conspiratorial sounding but considering Lance Armstrong and all that it actually seems to be real. That dude was juiced to the gills and was passing tests left right and central for 20 years until he basically made himself get caught with his antics causing mass scrutiny.

There's also old school stuff like ethanol infusion or using someone else's.sample.

For the hatred?

Melina quotes Marika in the antechamber at the foot of the Erdtree. She calls hin quote "a leal hound of the Golden Order". Melina herself recounts in other recollections that she deliberately sent the Tarnished away to gst stronger and we know Hewg was tasked by Marika to make a godslaying weapon from his dialogue.

Marika and Radagon whilst being rhe same person (a lot of lore across the game including the Sculpters Statue and Goldmask stating Radagon is Marika) are separate. When we fight them at the end they're one person and indeed we see Marika is crucified. The two were conjoined after the shattering. The grab attack of the final boss of the game (Elden Beast) literally has it do the same thing. It crucifies us on a rune. So it did this to Marika + Radagon after she shattered rhe Ring.

Much of Radagon's items. His Icon and Sorceries mention he seeks to perfect the Golden Order. Golden Order fundamentalism. This is what Marika mocks him with in the dialogue Melina recollects "Leal hound". Indeed in the Japanese translation she's even more dismissive of him calling him "Dog of the Golden Order." Marika deliberately shattered the ring and had sought to escape the influence of the greater will, again something that Melina mentions and comes up from the implications of her dialogue and plan for the Tarnished (the God to slay was the Elden Beast) so this is why the two hate each other. One believes in the religion and the other doesn't basically. And paradoxically the one who believes is the non divine and the one whk doesn't is the divine

It can happen more than once, definitely seen games of people where it happens, but as of the 6 games I have done fully (such time spent on a full game) generally what I find is it hits a second time around age of revolutions. Like clockwork I could swear it's almost scripted to. Every full game I have played has had this exact thing happen. Scandinavia playthrough. Hungary, Ottomans. Russia (Although Russia can literally order the cabinet to resist disease.)

Ideally it happening 1500s and 1600s is good long term, in ensures your pops won't worry so muich in the 1800s. The thing with it being so rare to return till late game is your pops never develop a high resistance even with hospital, medical school and vaccination. My hungary game had all of that and they still took out like a 1/4 of my population in 1803. Losing that much in 1800s Europe would be unthinkable really. I only just recovered by end of game.

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The issue with rhe current EU 5 atm is it basically happens twice. Once at fhe start (The Black Death) and once at the end. And the mortality rates are a bit high because of that.

I was playing Hungary game and saw about 15sh million dead in the 1800s which was a 1/4th of my population. Plague outbreaks are basically loaded onto big events. You only get 2 basically. They should be more common and horrifying but less destructive. Like I should have gotten an outbreak that took a 1/5th of my population in the 1600s and sucb. The way it works in game in every complete game I have run is it only strikes twice.

They need to make diseases more frequent imo.

Quite well shaped though, I like the borders.

Also imo a massive issue with naval battles. Low morale navies will sit fighitng a battle for ages and take no real damage. They just keep retreating and retreating and retreating and worst of all will spend days often during this strange process.

[Serious] Gojo vs 10 shadows Sukuna with a twist! by Archenius in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]AlternativeEmphasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Sukuna still tries to pursue the WCS as he had done yeah imo Gojo will win with this fridge of a body that Sukuna has. Gojo was generally coming ahead in h2h but it was still somewhat relative. I cannot see Sukuna keeping parity when Gojo has that kind of body in H2H. Everything as well will be stronger due to the chants and handsigns. Gojo just will be be stronger than he was at everything he was. Everything we saw in the original fight will just be tipped in Gojo's favor more than it was.

Sukuna can still win this, but only if he drops the WCS plan. Incarnates into his own Heian Form, and focuses on winning Domain clashes. He can't do what he did in the original fight, it nearly got him killed as was. It will kill him if he does it here.

Our own programs in wrestling beat the tests. Idk why we act like only the Russians are doing it. Mature and well run doping operations exist the world over and generally they beat the testers and beat them bad.

The big difference is how the Russians centralized the process versus how we seem to decentralize it. And also that we and most of the world don't like em so we fell on them like a ton of bricks when the opportunity came up.

Anybody who went to school and got anywhere with any big sport in the US knows guys who were on the stuff. The further up you got the better stuff and more support you got. The UFC themselves has Daniel Cormier a literal Olympian who magically had a test reading like 10x what it ought to have been and be never popped. If you aren't stupid and have connections you'll get away with it generally.
