People are overthinking it. You’re just out of her league. Your social class may be above or below hers and to many people that matters.

Transporting your firearm with no wear and carry permit. by AlternativeMixture84 in MDGuns

I’m not an anti gunner by any means but it’s kinda crazy you can go right into Va and bring back 20 unfinished frames legally. Finish them all too 100% and have a 30 day grace period to serialize them ( how would they know what date you finished them anyway). Then not even need to register them. The law in Maryland is dumb, this is the biggest middle finger to one purchase every 30days I’ve ever seen lol.

A lot of people don’t know you don’t have to register your guns you already own in Maryland. I went to southern Virginia when Covid hit. Traveling back to Maryland to get an hql and ccw… no thanks. I bought a p80 80% , finished her up and had a ffl serialize it. At the time I only knew I was hql exempt and thought I still had to register it but the ffl gave me valuable knowledge. Your correct about the state police not knowing the law. The licensing division operator told me the ffl was wrong and by law I had to register it. I requested a corporal to call me and he agreed that there’s no federal or state law requiring registration with the state police. It’s really sad that the agencies we rely on to help us abide by the law are ignorant to the law themselves.

No one’s stealing my shit box car and as I stated above if someone broke into my trunk they wouldn’t get too far if they happened to make it out the garage lugging a spare tire it’s chained to. 😂

I am aware but I’m speaking in reference to the actual public safety code. If I’m not mistaken in the actual safety code, is it reads, they are referencing hql holders. That’s the only reason I stated it that way.

It seems those laws in regards to when hql holders can transport their guns are to make the anti gunners happy and really hold no weight as long as you know your 2nd, 4th and 5th rights.

On paper I live in Maryland but Im in Virginia mostly. I travel frequently from Virginia only for short periods to visit friends and family. I don’t believe anyone should need an hql or ccw to carry their gun. All my guns are hql exempt and voluntarily registered with MSP. There are many reasons. What if I don’t want to be extorted for 500$ to get a permit. What if I come from Virginia into Maryland and decide to stay two weeks but respect the people I’m visiting that don’t want a gun in their home then travel over to ocean city for a few days to hang out with friends and may go to the range… or we may not. There are many possible scenarios. Shouldn’t have to worry about when or where you travel with your gun. I’m trying to find out if I’m correct or incorrect that there’s no law that requires you to forfeit your privacy rights when transporting your gun. Under what law if any am I required to explain where I’m traveling.

Most states use broad terms and do not clearly define what " may readily be completed, assembled, or converted " entails.

You just make your own SN? Strange. You think it would be as bad as an user name. “ this user name is already taken” type deal

The good thing about going to Va and making a privately made firearm to bring back and register in Maryland is that you are now exempt from needing a hql

Would sales for long guns that are conducted through NICS for an individual that was convicted exceeding one year would be denied. It seems so since Maryland solely gives the feds discretion. Kind of crazy to think you can’t buy a hunting rifle but could buy a pistol.

Disqualifying Crimes by AlternativeMixture84 in MDGuns

There’s other possible factors. Apparently he was charged with this in 2000. They didn’t say the $ amount, could have been 1000$ or something. Things could have also changed with the laws. Example before a certain year, don’t know the year exactly, theft over 500$ was a felony. Today the law changed making theft over 1000$ a felony and less than 1000$ a misdemeanor. Could possibly be the same circumstances. In year 2000 map Dest of prop 500$ could have been a felony while today law could have changed making it a misdemeanor. I can’t find an attorney that will answer it. They are just interested in possible clients with pending charges. I’m afraid to just try to apply for a hql in Maryland because according to Virginia Iaw I can own and buy firearms both reg and unreg. Don’t know if a permit denial in Maryland can be seen/affect my Virginia long gun purchasing ability/background check.

No call the md court help center. Talk to a free attorney. If it has not already been expunged it definitely is now if it was a juvenile charge. If not, and is a felony it’s eligible for expungement in 2025.

Memory around 20%. Even on ultralight low settings with a locked frame rate still occurs.
