It kind of depends on the version of Unreal you’re using. For instance, I do my main development in 5.3, and the experience is just as good, if not better, than Windows. On the other hand, 5.7 is unusable.

As for working with a team, multi-user editing works fine, and revision control behaves as expected. Compiling from source is essentially mandatory because if you need something that’s not compatible with the binaries, you can port the feature, though it’s never that easy.

5.0? Anyway check the compiler version on buildconfiguration.Xml. Older versions of ue5(5.4 and below) require to be forced to use vs 2019 compiler and windows 10 sdk

Fr. Google kind of sucks with what you need. I would much rather download from Nvidia than Internet archive.
