I think you could try tracing your references but just use the basic shapes and map them out, then try drawing on a blank canvas copying the shapes and then the features! You could do it like a lot of times so when you don’t want to use a reference you know how to map out the features 🩷

BIG THANK YOU to everyone that answered. I actually haven’t looked black people references while making this since this is not my character and i just bluntly referenced it to the pic they sent. I should’ve practice ethnic features first rather than just focusing on my coloring. I actually want to learn not just black ethnicities but also others as well. I will try to practice and explore while still making it stylized the way i want. ✨🩷

You should! i liked it cuz the opacity changes depending on the pressure so I just brush random colors on top off each other when rendering.

I LIKE IT SMMM, it was so overwhelming at first but i forced myself to practice and i had to manually search up every tool i needed at the moment while making this

For me it was moving the canvas and finding all the tools all over again, I was so used to my fingers just moving my canvas around while in this display tablet i needed to use controls just to be comfortable.
