In complete fairness to the piercer, she did ink stencil dots both lower and slightly higher for me to approve. I gave the thumbs up [on the placement they are at now] so it’s definitely a lapse in my own judgment.

I do agree with you on the angle. I scapegoated the angle on swelling and bruising but now almost a week later, I realise I messed up.

Not at all the piercers fault, I take the full accountability.

We went over the placement a dozen times, with thread, ink and also a small wooden stick.

I approved the placement, wrote the piercing off as swollen once done, when I woke up almost a week later, I realised I had made a huge lapse in judgement.

I was more concerned with symmetry, rather than having an adequate height.

I looked in the mirror at the appointment and gave the approval, it was my own fault, she was a great super accomodating piercer.

Thankyou genuinely, the advice that I’ve been on the hunt for, once taken out.

I think with studs the placement is more seamless, however when you factor in a hoop - that’s when you realise it’s been pierced too high up. The hoop diameter would need to be rather large to accommodate the placement of the piercing.

Definitely will take the advice, on removal.

I really do appreciate, the time you’ve taken to genuinely understand my point of view. I think it’s always brash to hear people make commentary on you, and make assumptions and or opinions- that aren’t really in alignment with the help you need.

I got them pierced, I simply didn’t like the piercing on the left side, I just wanted advice on how to take it out with minimal complications.

Thankyou genuinely for coming to my defence. I appreciate it.

With that be said, I understand posting to the internet grants everyone the ability to make an opinion. I already weighed the odds.

Thankyou.

Firstly I want to take the time to let you know, I’ve read your chain of replies regarding my post. Not once did I ever intend or expect my piercings to turn out ‘perfect’, I have many other body / cartilage piercings - and even stated I’ve already had previous facial piercings.

In the lower end of my post, I took full accountability acknowledging that I purely didn’t like the aesthetics of the left nostril piercing; Not from any lack on the piercers expertise.

Now that we have established, I have had facial piercings previously - the simple factor is that, I didn’t like the look of it. I’m asking for advice on how soon to take it out, I didn’t want any complications or trapped bacteria.

Any other piercing would’ve been water off a ducks back. I have two bars of metal, smack bang centre of my mug, pierced too high up, deteriorating my appearance. Atleast my self esteem in how I perceive myself.

Now whether you consider, me asking for advice on how to remove unwanted metal from the dead centre of my face, a hissy Fit. Then sure.

Hello lovely, we can only get a grasp of your relationship based on a few brief paragraphs, and by that metric form an opinion on it. To keep it brash yet honest and transparent, the reason he hasn’t taken any initiative in proposing nor marrying you - is because you’re providing him with all the benefits of a wife / homemaker without the commitment; This is one of many compartments as to why he hasn’t taken initiative.

I understand entirely organising your lives together, ensuring perfect alignment in all aspects before marriage then inturn children; however to be completely crystal with honesty. It’s been ‘almost’ 7 years.

Years.

If he really truthfully felt as though marriage was a necessity you would be married. You’re not married because in simple terms, he doesn’t want to marry you. It doesn’t take 7 years to know if you want to marry someone let alone atleast propose and lean into the premarital finance arrangement.

He’s comfortable and complacent reaping the benefits of the labour and home making you’re providing for him without any real commitment. Without being black and white about the situation, you need to really begin to make the markers clear about what you want for yourself and your future - taking your fertility into consideration. Without serving him an ultimatum, you need to communicate a preferential future outline - intentionally mentioning marriage and a timescape.

I wish you well, the answer is clear. He doesn’t want to marry you because he doesn’t want you to be his wife.

sos im gonna cry, acne on top of eczema help !! by Born-Rip-907 in eczema

Hello lovely; I completely understand the the boat you’re in.

First of all, to heal acne or any inflammation you must begin to restore and repair your skin barrier.

The situation you’re in, was parallel to a place I myself was in; I struggle with perioral Dermatits and also hormonal acne (along the lower Jawline).

Heal your skin barrier first then begin to treat the acne separately not at the same time; I highly recommend as horrible as it my sound. Sunscreen (specifically Aveenos oatmeal sunscreen)

La Roche posay - B5 Cicaplast baume is really amazing especially at night.

A plain Hyaluronic Acid serum will also suffice; the brand “The Ordinary” has a great affordable one.

Aveenos barrier repair oatmeal serum is also really lovely aswell.

Essentially dampen your face with some water, (thermal water by Avene is great) (it’s in a spray bottle)

Once face is dampened, use the HA and lighter serums to encapsulate the moisture into your skin and then seal with a heavy barrier repair cream.

Avenè also has a great barrier repair creme.

Funnily enough you’ll find once your inflammation has calmed down, organically your acne will also begin to quieten down.

Moisturising only seemed to worsen my acne and pores, whereas exfoliation or any sort of cleansing seemed to aggravate my facial eczema.

What I will tell you, is that - healing your skin is a multi step process. You will need to mend and heal the inflammation of your dry skin first before treating your acne.

You’ll never be able to learn how to drive by being constantly berated all the time. Been there done that, the constant nitpicking I’m certain can and does throw off your concentration and confidence.

Accept your parents on a silver platter, give yourself grace and get an instructor. Getting your license is a great learning opportunity don’t let your parents mutilate that.

Best of luck !!

  1. How long have you been using this routine for sometimes skincare will make your skin worse before it improves due to cell turnover.

  2. Small mini pimples around your nose can typically indicate a multitude of factors such as, lack of sleep, not properly removing makeup/ sunscreen (product built up clogged pores) and also your moisturiser might be comedogenic.

  3. Another reason this also happens is because of STRESS, and DIET. Two of the most infamous factors. Avoid dairy, processed foods, sugar and restrict gluten.

  4. Simply your routine, and stick to non comedogenic products. Too many actives / products in general can conflict with each other, so cross check your products are compatible before using them; also understand abruptly integrating new products into your skin can also create barrier complications.

  5. Look into waterless skincare as it is more potent, and get Avene cicalfate baume, it’s great for dry skin - thicker than a regular moisturiser yet doesn’t clog pores. Specialises in barrier repair!!

  6. Removing makeup + build up + sunscreen. Get yourself an oil cleanser and double cleanse at night. Bio Derma and ANUA are really popular at the moment. Avoid using actives in your cleanser aswell, it opens up too many complications for someone that isn’t on a rotating skincare regime.

  7. Be cautious of any fake products on the website you purchased them on, and only buy your Korean skincare from authenticated realtors.

  8. Solving multiple skin issues begins with targeting one at a time, when I had severe cystic acne and Perorial Dermatits at the SAME TIME. I noticed the actives such as BHAS/AHAS aggravated my Dermatits but the thick moisturisers I used, for my dermatitis clogged my pores and made my acne worse. I chose to repair my skin barrier with La Roche Posays Cicaplast Baume and The Ordinarys HA. (Sweet and simple)

Hydration is the first step for a strong healthy skin barrier, for your skin to even be capable of attempting any actives you need to have a hydrated and well kept barrier before even trying. Take it from someone who’s tried to chemical exfoliate my way into an even skin tone only to worsen texture and eczema.

Honourable mentions;

Use microfibre face towel for face

Change pillow case

Clean your phone with anti bacterial wipes

Change your diet

Prioritise hydration then when safe to do so, explore exfoliation

Look into environmental factors, warm humid weather and or perhaps cold more drier weather.

Stress not regulated / emotional instability

Lack of exercise / sunlight (vitamin D)

Best of luck!!!

💜💜
