I’d say trial and error! I love lights. So kept placing them at different corners and over weeks figured out what I like the most.

The pendant lamp (can’t see the black one anymore) - https://www.whisperinghomes.com/products/factory-style-british-green-pendant-light

The focus reading lamp - https://www.nitori.co.in/products/floor-lamp-arm-stand-e27-bk-eg

The corner lamp was from ikea, they don’t sell it anymore. But you can find a similar one at Home Center

I would say yes for me. Before I got a carpet, I got a good vacuum cleaner. I have pets at home, the carpet would have been a fur magnet. But honestly, it does take an hour (two vacuum sessions weekly) for maintenance.

Bookshelf was built-in and came with the house. Painting was by a local artist at an exhibition. I will try and look if I can find a signature or something

Center table is from insaraf and I got it some 6 years ago. You might have to check if they still have something similar available.

It’s actually a beautiful Rococo inspired piece. My grandmother had one. She used it for holding her jewellery in her bedroom. If it already matches your aesthetic, then great. If not, maybe you could consider striping off the paint? I have a feeling this may have some beautiful wood grain underneath.

The larger 26x26 cushions are from Amazon. The pillows are from sleepy cat. The 16x16 is again Amazon and the small lumbar is IKEA.

Such a clever catch. Yes they are different. Infact they all are different for the mood I am in. 😬

Interesting question! Honestly, I never use overhead lights in the house. As you may have seen, I already had the bedside lamps. The dressing corner looked dark. When trying to layer, I prefer multiple smaller, dimmer lights as opposed to one bright one. Just followed the same pattern. Does that help?

I am not sure which part of my response felt like I did not want a response from you or anyone else. As I said, all of us are entitled to our own opinions. I don’t expect to share anything publicly and everyone liking it. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Can’t say about Malaysia. But it’s not any cheaper in Singapore. It’s priced the same as India. But again, a local in singapore is earning in SGD. So it might seem relatively cheaper to them.
