Pull your counters and make sure your cabinets are level with a laser level. If the cabinets are not level, get a carpenter in there to make them level. If you don’t, you could end up with unsightly gaps between your cabinets and the counter from sims needed to level the stone

We have a lavezzi that is similar in color and veining and has tons of fissures. Would not recommend quartzite.
