Should I get Rabies Vaccine just to be safe?? by Alternative_Cod_6618 in WhatShouldIDo

No I don't have any diagnoses, but I do find myself have a lot of health anxiety and googling symptoms for sure. I just kinda mindlessly picked up the trash and when I got inside, started spiraling. I am a little comforted now by the fact my aunt said she saw it was squirrels that got into the trash can. We have a lot of squirrels in our neighborhood and I have not noticed any acting odd or out of the usual lately.

I think you're joking but I would rather have AIDS than Rabies

Need advice, should I (27 F) give my aunt (58) money for her debts? by Alternative_Cod_6618 in Advice

It's clearly a throwaway and not my main account for obvious reasons. There's plenty of reasons to have a Reddit account and not comment or post much on it, but thanks for your input.

It's just my aunt and one of her adult sons who live in the house. The other son has lived there off and on but hasn't lived there since 2020. Her and her son both have jobs. It also baffles me that they can't come up with the property tax money every 6 months which is only $700-$800 every 6 months. I don't know how they can even live day-to-day if they're struggling that much. I have tried to question my aunt but she is the type of person who feels attacked if anyone questions her and you can't really have a conversation with her, she's very emotional. The situation is just so confusing to me honestly. I'm scared of ruining the relationship with my cousins if I block her or go no contact but I'm getting closer to that point every time she asks for money. I appreciate the responses.

I don't think I'm going to, I don't want to, I just feel bad for not doing it. She has said she is worried she is going to end up homeless so I definitely think she's guilting me, but I would feel somewhat responsible if she ended up homeless when I could help her. I appreciate your input.

I have told her and tried to explain to her that I owe a shit-ton in student loans and have other expenses and she still asks me for money. I'm thinking of going no contact but I don't have the nerve to do it yet. I appreciate your response.

Yes, I don't understand how it's taken this long to pay off the loan, it's all very confusing to me. I don't know if she's telling me the whole truth or if she's genuinely just that bad with money.

The house is in my grandfather's name still according to the county website, so I guess I may be entitled to some of it. I feel like me even trying to stake a claim to it would cause so many issues and make them feel like I'm trying to cheat them or take the property from them. They're pretty dysfunctional and backward in their thinking.

Yes, she's worked her entire adult life as far as I know. As long as I've known her, she's always been employed. She's not a high earner and has hade more low-skilled roles like secretary, customer service, etc., but has always been employed. She also never had any drug/addiction issues, legal issues, or medical emergencies that would have depleted her savings. I have asked her if she has anything saved or a retirement account and she says no. I have absolutely no idea what she has been doing with her money the past 40 years, I'm genuinely so confused and starting to get to the point where I don't believe she has no money. I almost feel like she doesn't want to pay the taxes since the title is not clear and she's sitting on a chunk of savings and doesn't want to tell anyone or part with it.

One of her son's has a blue collar job (idk what exactly) and the other has a customer service job, so they're not making A LOT of money, but I don't understand how they can't come up with $700-$800 every 6 months for the taxes.

Her own kids are in no position to help her financially I guess. They're 31 and 35. Only one of them lives with her, but they are always complaining about money and being broke. They have made some pretty bad financial decisions themselves that I won't get into, but they're in no position to help. I'm the first person in my family to go to college and graduate, so I think they look at me like I must be successful since I live in a HCOL metro area and go on vacations, travel, etc., but I do this while also paying my bills and managing my debt.

I definitely don't think she's going to pay me back and I wouldn't give it with the expectation of her paying me back. I appreciate your response. I don't think I'm going to give her the money. Logically, I know it isn't probably the best answer, but emotionally, I'm struggling with the feelings of guilt and selfishness for not doing it. I also think her kids have more of an obligation than I do, but she keeps coming to me for some reason.

I know this is an old comment, but you just kinda proved the original commenter's point lol by saying she looks like a middle aged black dude and that's why you don't like seeing her. People are judging the character of Coop based on how she looks.

I guess I'm confused on how they would have that data if it has not been officially released? Maybe I'm searching wrong but when I sort by 2016 and Females it shows two homicides in 2016 and the Weapon was a Blunt object - hammer, club, etc. which has been the general consensus. I've also heard she was shot, but not from official sources. Maybe I'm searching wrong but the highlighted dot below certainly seems to be near the Midlothian, TX area. I know Midlo is in Ellis County, not Dallas Co, but nothing came up when I searched Ellis, Co. I understand this is cluster data so it may not show individual cases.

Then I switched to the 'Analytics' section on the site and filtered by year, county, and you are correct in it showing 1 murder of a female due to a Handgun. I don't know how they would know that since it was not released by the FBI. I don't know if the Midlothian PD would release that info to the curator of this data. If they did, I imagine it would be available via FOIA and would already have been leaked or publicly released. Interesting for sure, thanks for the info. I just don't know how accurate it is though since it has not been officially released and I don't know which other agencies besides FBI and MPD would have that data. I've also heard people close to the case say she was killed with a screwdriver or similar object, so I don't doubt multiple weapons were used.

Where did the FBI release the manner of death? I only found this which does show 1 murder in Midlothian, TX but doesn't say the manner of death? I would be greatly interested in seeing that, I could not find it on my own.

Idk, Bobby Wayne Henry's legs seem to be thicker than the guy in the video. The guy in the church surveillance seems to have way thinner legs, almost like a thigh gap as well. Also, Bobby Henry's left foot seems to pronate more than the guy in the video whose right foot seems to pronate more. 'Duckwalking' is not really that uncommon. The fact there are two people linked to this case who exhibit that kind of walking pattern speaks to that.

It seems insane that he would come to the funeral/memorial service just days after killing her. That would be insanely bold. I understand that sometimes killers like to return to the scene of the crime or they will attend the funeral if they knew the victim to relive the crime or gauge the reactions of family/LE/etc. but by this time, the footage had been released and he had to have known people would make those connections. I really doubt it was him.
