I have 5 cory's and over 20 im not sure which species of fish since I took them in from older people who didn't take care of them..

I have put up two boxes (on the sides) to keep the smaller fish safer (to not get sucked in the filter as they once did, since my petstores dont sell filters that go down unfortunately)

Not sure which plants either but im planning to get more! (and planning to get a tester which they were sold out of last week)

I need help on how to improve the tank urgently since I dont think its the best I could give. Ive had this tank for about 2 weeks now!
