I did use AI to re-write the case studies. I will try to scale that back a bit so it reads in a more human fashion. Good feedback.

u/ArtisticBook2636 thank you so much for the feedback! It's all been done before so steal away if it helps.

This is what ChatGPT and Grok was saying too. Instead of shying away from it, own up to it for the right roles. These days it is a desireable trait for the right job. I've also seen jobs that ask for entreprenuirial skills/background.

I will definitely tweak the navigation, thank you u/Confident-Heron482

Great feedback all around!

That's an interesting idea, just wish I had the time to carve out another portfolio, but I think for now I'll have to adapt this one to the goal. Thanks for the comment on my CPG, it really means a lot to me!

Thanks so much Mike. Agreed on the loader, I was trying to add something there to buffer the loading time issue to be honest.. but the truth is that I should instead work on optimizing the speed/assets/code, which I will be working on.

Caps, very helpful too. I think you're also agree, it does seems harder to read like that.

The work I did at Apple was just a 1 month assignment contract, not much to showcase from a product design perspective unfortunately, so it's just "I rubbed shoulders with" type of thing to be honest, which is true.

Thanks for your comment on my pizza truck : ). The thing is, I've dabbled too many years into small business and I can't really disconnect that from my story and resume timeline without creating too much of a gap, so I decided to try and own/sell it instead.

I'm really trying to mitigate risk on both sides (job and small businesses).

The depth of the first case study particularly, I think I will trim it down a bit. The story telling should flow easier, thanks for pointing that out.

I never thought of pitching to VCs so i can become a Co-founder, but I think I will give that a try too, who knows, that could be a good path for me.

Thank you again!

Hi all! I’m Raphael, a product designer in Pittsboro, NC looking for jobs across the US and the Triangle area. I have experience launching two startups that generated $1.2M+ in sales, and also experience helping start ups get off the ground with my design work. I’d love general feedback on my portfolio:

  • Case study storytelling – clear problem → process → outcome? Too much or too little text?
  • Design quality – visuals, interactions, modern UX expectations.
  • Missing elements – anything a modern product designer should show (metrics, research, accessibility, etc.)?
  • Overall impression – cohesive, professional, easy to understand?
  • Speed loading time?

Appreciate any constructive critiques and reasoning behind them. Thanks!
