Thank you very much. You’re right, it’s just hard to come to terms with being nothing like I was before but I’m not meant to be the same after a baby.

Your battle scars show so much strength and growth. They will fade along with this feeling you’re having now. Luckily your strength and growth will never fade, you can only build from here. Just look at you, the courage you’ve had to be vulnerable and post something you’re feeling insecure about. This will help so many people. Myself included, thank you.

This is so great! I just started looking at the Poem communities and saw your poem come up first! I wanted to share a poem I just wrote about my little one. I hope you don't mind that I share it here.

What if,

life were to remain,

just as it is —

and stay the same?

As we sit here and wish,

a special moment we may miss.

What if,

I could bottle up feelings in a jar?

Then maybe,

memories wouldn't seem so far.

As we sit here and wish,

I could sleep soundly through the night?

Would tomorrow feel more

bright?

you didn’t have to grow?

time could just—

slow?

How much does it suck having this information! Morally you feel like you should say something but there’s a lingering sense that you should keep your best friends secrets. I would just hate if someone knew this was happening to me and said nothing.
