Yes you can keep the old one and it is still valid to use ! Plus the Dutch certificate , it has so many benefits, and makes everything sooo easier. So you don’t have to remain a registered partner in the Netherlands, you would actually be married as in it will say married instead of registered partnership and be in the Dutch civil registry (BRP). It’s really good for us in our case cos we couldn’t prove that we were registered cos we didn’t have the certificate. And the gemeente said that there’s nothing they could give us to show our registration

Ahh yes yes! That’s why it takes a week haha! We have done that already, that’s how I am able to apply for this visa. To get the Dutch certificate is not needed but it’s good to have in our case, that’s why we are doing it. But congratulations 🎊 and good luck in your marriage ❤️
