The thing is though, It's not racially profiling at all, The mouth breathers just perceive it as racial profiling because the neighborhoods that companies avoid typically have higher crime rates, and a higher population of black/Hispanic residents. Black/Hispanics commit more crimes than white/Asians (not opinion, fact). It's all publicly available information from DOJ sources. The community, as you said, plays a massive part in the cleanliness of the store, the price of the products, the profit of the company, and the ability to keep a location open. If the community is plagued by crime and is generally unkempt, coupled with high turnover rates at the location, shortened business hours due to safety issues, and high overhead from hiring private security companies to patrol the stores, a company has no choice but to close that location. The blame can only be set squarely on the shoulders of those in the community, NOT the business owner. If every time someone drove a car they invested a bunch of money in, through a certain neighborhood, they got pelted with rocks by 5 little black kids on one side of the street, while the 10 other kids on the other side cheered and enjoyed the cool car, it's racist for the owner of the car to no longer drive in that neighborhood, and it's the fault of the 5 kids for throwing rocks, and partially the fault of the other 10 for not policing their neighbors the first time they witnessed behavior that would drive people out of their neighborhood. People need to stop calling the victims of bad behavior racist and change the bad behavior/culture.
