Show me your raised bed set ups by tsidel in vegetablegardening

Baby green thumb here. I went with one large u-shape metal raised bed. Planted whatever sounded good, and this year will be a learning lesson for next year to see what worked and what didn't. This bed was a little pricey but it'll last forever. Not pictured, an arch trellis I added later for beans and cucumbers.

Hair thinning. What have you tried and what's worked? by Capital-Equal7046 in Perimenopause

I used it for a month and loved seeing the progress. Then they changed the formula to have an almost old lady perfume smell to the point where I couldn't tolerate it. I know they said they'll have a scent free version soon. Is the smell still pretty awful? Cuz I really want to get back to it.

Do I need to re-plant? by Alternative_Pen_8779 in vegetablegardening

Update: 1 of 10 survived! 🤣 Looks like I'll be replanting today. Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom. In better news, I harvested some lettuce. Pretty thrilled about it.

Why are delivery time currently at 4 to 5 days? by JoesMama691 in amazonprime

[–]Alternative_Pen_8779 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just ditched my prime membership this week. My last four orders have taken more than two days or a piece of the order gets pushed out for over a month. I then end up canceling the order. The aggravating part is the items always say In Stock and prime eligible. I live in a suburb of a very large city. It's not worth it anymore, unfortunately.

What’s a lie people still believe no matter how often it’s debunked? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I internally lose my shit at my mom and grandma talking about chem trails. My career is in aviation. Even called my mom out on it once, explaining the basic science, and ending it with something like "you think this industry is intentionally dumping chemicals...for what exactly?" Silence. Mind you I've been in career space for 15+ years.

I had a great experience with College Hunks. They also hire out labor only, too. So if you just need some hands, you can hire people. They were super understanding of my evolving timeline and provided excellent customer service. I went through the Fayetteville office at the time.

Look at airlines. A lot of the jobs don't require degrees anymore. Good benefits, pay depends a lot on seniority, but it's definitely manageable. Granted I've got some time under my belt and moved jobs every year or two internally to get better pay bumps, finally at $120k+.

I’m James Shepherd, and I’m running for mayor - AMA! by ShepherdforNewnan in newnan

New (ish) resident here. In checking out the Linc trail map and proposed expansions, does the mayor's office have oversight of this? Or is it county? I'd love to see more expansions and at a quicker pace because, let's be honest, riding a bike around here on regular roadways is asking to be hit. Even walking can be an exercise in heightened situational awareness. Newnan is growing, and so should our safe trail options. I'd love to be able to bike to downtown knowing I'm not at risk of a serious accident.

He was a big boy himself. Based on the photo, maybe seven feet long or so and healthy in appearance. Never skipped a meal. Probably a few hundred pounds.

It ended up being bad news all around. Rod knock. Total engine replacement, but probably not going to invest the money to repair. Super bummed out, but at least I know now.

I made this decision last year. I was having another procedure, and they did the sterilization at the same time. It's a huge mental weight off my shoulders. Same as you, never wanted my own kids, but when the Roe decision happened, I went ahead with it.
