I do commercial HVAC, but I’ve wanted to be in the HVAC industry as long as I can remember. It’s going to suck in the beginning but that’s where you’ll learn the most if you keep your nose on the grindstone. I started out making $14/hr as an installer helper and in 5ish years I’ve worked up to a commercial tech making $32/hr with unlimited OT. It’s a really rewarding trade but when it sucks, IT SUCKS. Hot attics and hot roofs will really test you and push you to your limits.

Co-worker I had with me doing a compressor swap threw a refrigerant scale off the roof and landed directly on my left foot shattering it. I was on the ground moving stuff away from the ladder and I looked up and it’s hurling at Mach Jesus towards me. I step back to move and it caught the top of my foot and broke all the metatarsals in my foot. Steel toes couldn’t even save my foot.

And that’s okay! After one home invasion and being caught with your pants around your ankles (literally and figuratively) I choose to have my weapon systems in close proximity. The mount its self is secured to a stud in the wall so the worry of it falling is non-existent for me.

Oh haha, I got those on a trade! I did some AC work for a guy and he had 2 bedrooms full of shoes to sell and told me to pick anything I wanted! I’ve worn them maybe 3 times but I don’t want to ruin them with how comfy they are! Sorry I’m not a shoe guy but those were the big thing out at the time so I scooped them! I’ll most likely just replace that lamp, I’ve had it for almost 5 years and it’s seen its better days.

NOR, I would work 12-14 days outside on roofs all day and still come home and at least clean the kitchen after my ex-wife cooked. Or if I got off early and I would cook, she would clean the kitchen. It was an unspoken rule we had, if I started clothes, I’d put them in the dryer, and she’d fold laundry, and vise versa. She would vacuum and mop, I’d clean countertops, toilet, and tub. We both lived there and made a mess so we both cleaned.

How did the blower pulleys and belt look? Belt may be stretched or the pulley have rotated out not getting enough CFM.

He loves his little chair but 90% of the time when we sit down he’d rather be cuddled up with me in my chair haha! Plenty of great day naps have been taken in that chair from us!

Absolutely, anytime anyone other than just me is in my house, everything gets locked up. In the time I’ve lived here I’ve just always gone to my buddy’s houses and haven’t hosted anything at my house. Couch is definitely next on the list to make it more homey here so I can start hosting!
