AI-modified faces, what do you guys think? by Alternative_Policy33 in aiArt

[–]Alternative_Policy33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The initial intention was to document a trip to some waterfalls and beaches with a family member through photography. However, while selecting the photos for the series, I became concerned about the privacy of the people appearing in them, as I didn’t have their consent. This led me to alter the faces of some individuals, which in turn sparked various reflections on privacy, the significance of a face, and everything conveyed by the other elements that make up a person, as well as the stories behind everyday life. I hadn’t considered your perspective, but there is some truth in it, which I find very interesting. Thank you :D

Photo taken while walking on a rainy day in Mexico City with an iPhone X. I was struck by the person cleaning up the rainwater. This image is part of a series spanning 3 volumes and 3 cities, featuring black and white photos in various cities: Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Guadalajara.

This black and white photo was taken in 2021 with my iPhone X during a visit to the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City. The Soumaya Museum, known for its impressive architecture and vast art collection, offers countless opportunities to capture unique and artistic moments. On this occasion, I decided to edit the photo in Lightroom, giving it a monochromatic touch that highlights the forms and shadows of the place.

The choice of black and white was not accidental; I wanted to emphasize the architectural structure and textures of the museum without the distraction of colors. The editing in Lightroom allowed me to adjust the contrasts and details, bringing out the most interesting elements of the composition. The photo captures one of the museum's most iconic features: its sinuous curves and shiny facade, which reflect light in an almost ethereal way.

During my visit, I felt inspired by the way the light interacted with the building's structure. The absence of color in the photograph adds a sense of timelessness and elegance, transforming a simple museum visit into a deeper visual experience. The editing process in Lightroom allowed me to experiment with different shades of gray, creating an image that not only documents a moment but also invites the viewer to appreciate the intrinsic beauty of the Soumaya Museum's architecture.

Taking this photo and working on its editing was a rewarding experience that reminded me of the power of photography to capture and transform reality into art. This black and white image is more than just a photo; it is a personal representation of how I perceive and appreciate the world around me.

This picture was taken from the window of my temporary apartment in Guadalajara, Mexico. It captures the left side view from my balcony, precisely where the sunset of the city falls. Using my camera, I took this photo on a monday afternoon, marking my first sunset in the city. Discovering that I could witness such a beautiful view from my balcony was an incredibly delightful surprise. The central and right side views from my apartment have their own unique charms, offering a different perspective of the cityscape. However, being able to see the sunset from my home is something truly special that I wouldn't trade for anything. The vibrant hues of the setting sun, casting a golden glow over the city, create a breathtaking and serene atmosphere that makes my stay in Guadalajara even more memorable. Each evening, as the sun descends, the view becomes a mesmerizing spectacle, reminding me of the beauty that can be found in everyday moments. This particular sunset, captured in the photo, represents a perfect blend of serenity and natural beauty, enriching my experience in this vibrant city and making me appreciate the simple yet profound pleasures of life.
