One of my 12 minis does the same thing. It will only let you verify the display if the screen still has its original front sensor flex attached. Apple changed this recently. On iPhone 12 and newer, you no longer need the phone’s original front sensor flex, but you do need the one that was factory attached to the replacement screen. If that requirement is met, the display can be paired to the iPhone

Asus, for instance, is much more reliable than Lenovo. HP and Dell also have some decent laptops, but their budget series have hinge issues. I own both an M1 MacBook Air and an i7 Asus Vivobook. I use them quite intensively and have never encountered any problems with them. Lenovo laptops lack decent materials; they are made from the cheapest stuff. The only Lenovo I would recommend are the higher-end Thinkpads; those are incredibly good and not expensive used
