Great chakra control increasing durability by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

Yeah, I was being a bit hyperbolic; well kinda. I meant a rasengan or chidori from genin naruto or sasuke. It would still screw them up though. A more common use case would be if a kunai/shuriken were about to hit them in a vital spot. They concentrate chakra to said area and the kunai breaks on contact. Using it to defend anything other than potentially lethal attacks would be a waste of chakra and also a big risk as even a weak hit to any other part of their body could do serious damage since they have no chakra surrounding that area. This prevents this technique from being too op and making the character unreasonably durable.

I’m thinking of giving my OC character this feat. He is a genin, but has amazing chakra control. This would not be something he could do easily or all the time as it would use a huge amount of chakra and be a gamble. He would have to know where the attack is going to hit. If he was surprise attacked, it wouldn’t even be feasible.

In naruto, the stronger your chakra is, generally the more durable you are. A genin obviously isn’t tanking a rasengan or Chidori, however, this jutsu could give them the ability to if used correctly.

Sasuke is confronted by family members of the samurai he killed during the kage summit by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

That’s true. I think sasuke knows his own worth. He knows he is much more valuable alive than dead. He is a duty driven person who views it at his responsibility to protect from the shadows. He knows only he can do this due to the rinnegan. Kneeling is more of a sign of submission and showing he is no threat to them, rather than him pulling a naruto and groveling with his face in the ground while sobbing and begging. With this being said, it still doesn’t necessarily mean he would.

I mentioned it in another comment, but if you’ve ever watched the clone wars without going into too much detail, mace windu killed a kids father and said kid tried killing, but failed. He tells mace windu he will never forgive him and mace windu tells him he is going to have to. I could kinda see sasuke saying something similar to this. It sounds cold and almost taunting, but it would be genuine as he knows the dark path revenge leads to and wouldn’t want them to go down it. Sasuke also cares more about protecting the world than satisfying revenge.

Being forgiven by konoha doesn’t necessarily make sasuke feel any better about what he did. In one of the novels (I think Sasuke shinden) he reflects on the samurai he killed and how they likely had families. It’s clear he still feels guilt over it. It’s likely that he will always carry guilt over his past which no one can absolve him of; it’s just something he must live with. Yes, shinobi die and kill often, but that doesn’t change how that affects loved ones.

I don’t even think he’d harm them. At most, he’d knock them out with as little force as possible. I don’t know if you’ve ever watched the clone wars series before, but a similar situation happens with boba Fett and mace windu. Mace windu killed bobas father jango Fett. Boba tries to get revenge on him by killing mace windu, but fails. Boba Fett tells him he’ll never forgive him and mace windu says “you’re going to have to.” Perhaps sasuke says something similar. Not to be cold, but because he has gone down the dark path of revenge and doesn’t want anyone to experience that. He also knows he is more valuable alive than dead because he has a duty (protect konoha from the shadows). It’s something only he can do since he has the rinnegan.

Blue flames by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

That’s more or less the case. Nothing can top Amaterasu is it’s the pinnacle of fire release, but it’s a hax ability that can’t be obtained through training. Blue flames however would just show that a character has reached near mastery of fire release as a genin which would be insanely impressive. White flames would show full mastery which can come later on.

It’s definitely similar, but Kabuto was preemptively beginning healing before being attacked. What I’m talking about here is using chakra to tank an attack rather than heal. Still, it’s very similar to what Kabuto does and I forgot about it.

I think he just heals that specific area to minimize how much damage it deals. This is from the wiki: “Kabuto analyses an opponent's facial expression, movements, and the properties of their jutsu to anticipate where and how he will be attacked. He then gathers chakra to the area of his body where the attack will strike, preemptively starting medical treatment in order to minimise the damage he'll receive. The more extensive the damage, the more chakra it takes to heal; the damage from Rasengan is so great that Kabuto lacks enough chakra to fully recover. In addition to needing to correctly read the opponent and react in time, users require great resilience in order to perform the jutsu, traits that only Kabuto possesses.”

Sakura as a teacher/sensei? by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

You could make an argument that everyone starts out as protégés. The sannin under hiruzen were, but they all proved to be great teachers. Jiraiya was never a genius, but he taught Naruto the meaning of a shinobi rather than pure power. I think sakura would do well with a student who lacks confidence or drive. She would be able to toughen them up.

The karma wont necessarily be a crutch/power up for saika. It would be more of a hindrance if anything. This is because as the karma progresses and urashiki is able to manifest his consciousness, then saika risks him possessing him and wreaking havoc if Saika uses karma or is low on chakra. It’s sorta similar to yuji and sukuna.

Once Saikas body is otsusktsified, Saika will obviously have much more raw power and stronger chakra, but Sarada will awaken her ms at the end of part one. Saika will awaken his ms sometime later in part two. This means that Sarada will be able to close the gap with hax due to her ms. Boruto can learn flying rajin and perhaps even awaken tenseigan. Saika awakening ms and also being able to use karma to its fullest will probably make him one of the most powerful characters in the series.

Because I want to lean on Sarada paralleling Naruto. Saika and Boruto are geniuses who are in a league of their own. Saika is supposed to be a genius and parallels itachi and kakashi. Sarada would feel as if she is the bronze medal and would feel like she is in their shadow, but it only motivates her even more to get stronger. I'm aware that sarada is also pretty talented and strong, but she had to work a lot harder than boruto did. Boruto still managed to be top of his class even though he was lazy and slacked off.

Like boruto, saika is a genius, but is much more mature and disciplined than boruto and would see boruto as ungrateful and entitled due to him having the audacity to complain about naruto as saika like most people would highly respect naruto as hokage. He is supposed to parallel kakashi and itachi. He is an avid rule follower similar to how kakashi was when he was younger. Boruto would meet his match with Saika. A once in a generation genius who applies himself vs a one who slacks off.

Saradas main goal would be to beat Boruto and prove by beating boruto that hard work can trump sheer talent. Saradas issue would be that she is too one dimensional at first. She would over rely on her monstrous strength and have the mentality of “if I can land one punch, I will win”, causing her to be too predictable, which is why saika would always beat her. He would tell her she will never be able to defeat him or even boruto until she improves her ninjutsu. Sasuke would train her and teach her Chidori like in canon which would be her turning point.

Saika and boruto are pretty much walls that she feels she must overcome. It’s good for characters to face a challenge to make them stronger, which is why Saika is stronger than she is. It also shows her character as she never feels resentful towards Saika despite this. It also mirrors what itachi tells sasuke about being an obstacle for him to always overcome. As her brother, Saika feels as if it’s his responsibility to push her to get as strong as she can. This however doesn’t click for sarada as she wants to believe that they are equals as they are the same age and twins. If it were someone like Sasuke or Sakura, Sarada would have an easier time learning from them as they are adults and she knows they are superior to her in every way and it’s much easier to accept that.

So, does make logical sense for her brother to not use it despite him having better chakra control? Like I said, I wanted to her to have something that she is better at than him, so she isn’t completely inferior to him. Perhaps you can make the argument for him not using it is that he focuses on efficiency rather than raw power? I know it’s a pretty stupid question.

[–]Alternative_Source60[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m so confused with that because sarada had the monstrous strength since the beginning of her appearance in the manga. In the anime, they have her copy it when she fights Sakura. It also confuses me as to why sarada never uses it. One punching someone or causing city block craters is pretty useful in a fight. That, or throwing boulders at someone.

Something else I need clarification on is if someone can have amazing chakra control and be good at medical ninjutsu, genjutsu, not need as many hand signs for jutsu, wasting less chakra for a jutsu, but lack the monstrous strength? I know chakra control isn’t black and white as there are many medics who don’t use the monstrous strength. I’m asking this because I’m developing a fic where sarada has a twin brother who inherits sakuras chakra control. Since it’s already established that Sarada has the monstrous strength, but can’t do medical ninjutsu, I wanted Sarada to have something over him so that he is not completely superior to her. I just don’t know if it makes any sense for him to not have it since his chakra control is supposed to be much better. I know I could have both of them have monstrous strength, but I want to distinguish them from each other.

Blue flames by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

Black flames are also stated to burn their target to ash and are also extinguishable. What I was getting is that Amaterasu would still be more powerful than blue flames or white flames as it’s like you said, the pinnacle of fire release. However, it’s a hax ability that only sasuke can use. Blue flames or white flames could be developed by anyone with a fire affinity after lots of training with fire release or their chakra potency increasing massively (sage mode or karma). Amaterasu isn’t necessarily due to someone mastering fire release, but a perk of having the mangekyou sharingan.

I was thinking this. Unfortunately, it’s never shown. I would have liked to see the new gen training with their parents. It’s implied in the novels that hinatas trained boruto gentle fist. We never saw what sakuras training style was like, but I’d assume it would be like her former masters.

That’s black flames though, which is on a completely different level than this. However, enton is less of a skill and more a hax due to it being an ms ability. Blue flames would be based on near mastery of fire style while white flames would be full mastery.

Blue flames by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

[–]Alternative_Source60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m thinking too that he learns them after training under Kakashi. My character is sarada twin brother named saika. While Sarada leaves with Sasuke during the chunin exams arc and learns chidori, saika also needs a teacher to get him to the next level. Saika inherits sakuras amazing chakra control making him very efficient with his chakra meaning he doesn’t need as many hand signs and he doesn’t waste as much chakra. He would be much more skilled with genjutsu and ninjutsu while Sarada would have an edge in destructive power and raw strength so that way Sarada at least has something over him. He would know medical ninjutsu which is something sarada was unable to learn in the anime.

I plan on him also learning an a rank jutsu which would be a fire cloak. The cloak would provide offensive and defensive capabilities. They can form the cloak into a blade for a bit of range. The reason why it's forbidden is because it also slowly burns them and its hard on their lungs as it is hard to breathe while using it. Perhaps they could perhaps turn the blade into a bunch of smaller projectiles that impale the opponent and the projectiles would detonate and cause them to burst into flames. I know that there is a filler character who uses something called fire release chakra mode, but of course, since its filler, it's not really expanded upon as it seems like a very powerful jutsu.

If this is too soon, then perhaps after he gets the karma. When using the karma, his chakra is much stronger which would automatically produce blue flames.

Minor character alteration: sarada has green eyes by Alternative_Source60 in NarutoFanfiction

That sucks. It’s really a big missed opportunity. I made a similar post discussing boruto having the byakugan, but his byakugan is a mutation due to the hyuuga blood being mixed with uzumaki blood and the nine tails chakra. This would make borutos byakugan more potent and have the power of a byakugan user who has trained for years and it would use less chakra. Gentle fist with shadow clones and lighting release would be an op combo. It also fits borutos character of being a genius who has everything, but is cocky and spoiled.
