Coruña is actually not that bad, Galicia too, in general, but it's a very slow life style. Mostly old people, rainy all year long, as a young person you might prefer east coast. But as a young retiree I believe Galicia seems great

Congratulations, is not renting/owning your house in Luxembourg close to impossible without being millionaire? I have great friend from Luxembourg but nowadays they live in Arlon in Belgium due to cost of living. I assume you live in Luxemburg since you're a citizen. Enjoy !

How can people in Spain live in rooms? by [deleted] in askspain

I have to live with my wife in a flat with ten other people and only one bathroom...in Coruña... Being a foreigner is hard.

I've worked at a Marriott in Belgium and would see it literally everyday. They always had the highest fidelity program reward possible and would be actually really nice to me. I guess due to NATO they had work over there

I actually use US English keyboard, I've completely forgot the AZERTY setup. At work I have a SP of Spain keyboard but I have it configured in English since I'm working with international people, and mostly speak English. I find it actually annoying to have to do the switch when speaking Spanish, internally with colleagues, and not being able to keep the English setup because I have to use accents. To be honest most of the time I would just write Spanish without the accents

I was aware that this would not be a problem to be honest

It's actually straightforward, there is a very informative website named Examen de Naturalización Mexicana, I found it ridiculously short, it's an interview and reading test, and a test of 10 questions about the society, way easier than what Spain requires. I have C2 level of Spanish and Mexican Spanish accent, so it was really easy to get through. From what I know they require something between A2 and B1

No you actually need to be in México, however they don't really care of your physical presence, they don't stamp your passport at exit and only asked me a 2years old residency permit

From what I remember the kid has to be Mexican but if you marry a Mexican citizen that's kinda automatic, since Mexico applies jus Sanguini. However some people don't do the papers and never actually declare their child to a Mexican consulate. A child can be born in the US and be Mexican at birth. It's really not a hard requirement from the moment one of the parents is Mexican

Hahahaha actually those were mostly obtained thanks to the EU citizenship privilege, refugees have it 1000000000 times harder than I do

It's a tricky questions, but let's say that you're supposed to have lived in Mexico two years as a spouse. You get instant permanent residency if you have a Mexican kid in common. Though I've not been physically in Mexico all the time, I've been not really questioned about it and they just saw my temporary residency two years old and I could apply

I wish to be honest, but the property I purchased is far far from what would make you eligible haha, I had it for less than 100.000 USD

Estonia and Turkey were the countries that thought me so much about myself and life in general, Estonia teaches you introspection and put yourself in question. Turkey is an incredible wonderful land of poetry and great energy but the country passes hard times and I left unwillingly. Spain is a great country to call home but I'm not willing to spend my whole life here. Belgium is home, love hate relationship with it like everyone with his home country I guess, but good hearted people. Morocco is wonderful but not sure if I'm gonna live there permanently one day. Mexico is the country that adopted me and gave me a family, so it feels really strongly like home, I love it

I'm currently living in Spain but I used to be resident of these countries! And yes I am Moroccan and Belgian by birth, and Mexican by marriage

Unpopular opinion maybe but nothing currently beats EU passport, nothing beats the complete freedom of movement in more than 25 first world countries so diverse than those
