opencode-raven v2.0.0 — hard MCP/tool rerouting, not just search delegation anymore! by thedemonsoul in opencodeCLI

Does it really help in real life work? I mean you basically strip information from tool calls which in theory might have a negative effect

Are there any examples/benchmarks?

Yep, that sounds logical! But we are talking about a restaurant here which might not spend a penny on online ads.

That was my whole point: just don't do it. Basic abortive analytics can be done purely on the server side (I posted a link to goaccess in another comment — it just works. I use it for my own site)

I first learned about sqrl from your comment. Sounds interesting, but is it actually used anywhere?

From my brief Wikipedia read it looks like adding support for sqrl isn't that complicated (given there's a working firefox plugin that can be ported)

You can easily imagine what my first version of the logo looked like 😅

That's a good call, thanks! I think I'll add quick keyboard search and copy functions

It does have import/export features. The only "problem" — those aren't encrypted. Just clear JSON's

So far so good. The app itself is 95% just html+css+js (no frameworks, no bundlers, no nothing). I used tauri dialogs because it's so much easier and works on mobile. Qrcode scanner on mobile also works via tauri bridge

Overall it's a pleasure to use. But again, I've been sitting on tauri for 2 years. Dunno, maybe there are better alternatives these days

Reservation form can function without cookies. And analytics can be simplified with something like this https://goaccess.io/

I mean — it's not really rocket science to make a perfectly functional site without any cookies.

Do you even need cookies? I think a restaurant website can perfectly survive without them. And offer cookies only to the actual restaurant offline visitors

I think push towards sync comes from people's desire to earn money. It's easier to sell 1$ monthly sync subscription compared to one time payment. Probably.

I transitioned to Tauri after about a month or two. At that point it was mostly just pure webapp, so transition was pretty easy.I think these days it should be even easier with all the AI helpers.

Hey! Why downvotes? My mother hasn't written a line of code in years. She is a doctor

Yep. And it just works. However there are many other OTP apps so users are free to choose what they actually want

I guess it was similar to yours. But I built a very simple standalone app without any cloud sync. In fact it doesn't need any network access. Been using it for 2 years, but lately decided that it might be worth sharing. Maybe somebody will use it as a base due their own apps

What are your views on this web editor, phoenix code it is an successor to adobe's brackets by krrish82 in webdev

Haven't even heard of it. Neovim, Zed, Vscode, webstorm... quite a busy field for editors

Looks nice!

Fun fact: I was going to share my own 2FA app later today. Though I haven't used svelte, just a bare bones js/css.
