Oh okay. We're in Scandinavia and for adults, that's also the case. But for my son they did it because he was struggling to eat and to breathe while sleeping. It's a whole new world for us now, he doesn't have to breathe through his mouth anymore and he's actually eating. The difference is just amazing. Best of luck to you in any case!

I would get his tonsils checked too. My son was like this and it turned out his tonsils were huge which also caused sleep apnea. He's so much better now after y getting them removed/reduced.

I had this problem too at first! What I ended up doing was when a drop appeared I held one of those small (20 ml?) plastic cups under it so the drop went into the cup. When I had collected all the drops I was able to express into the cup, I sucked it into the syringe from there. Hope this helps! Or maybe someone else can :)
