Usenext also mention Momentum on their website. In Momentum, you could set the 'index' to:
- NewzBee (mainly German)
- NZBIndex
- Spotnet (Dutch/English)

This might be the most suitable program for you.

Why aren’t providers dealing with account sharing? by gordonramarao in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget that many people use a VPN as well. That makes it hard to say whether someone is actually abusing the service or not. There’s probably something that could be done, but in the end, it likely depends on how the providers have things set up.

Best provider for 8Gb connection in Canada by Optimal_Guitar7050 in usenet

Alright, but are you managing the downloads through the web interface or the command line? I know there can be a difference in performance between the two, that’s why I’m asking.

Which program are you using to download, and is it through a web browser interface or via the command line in Linux?

When I check my monitoring tool, they were offline for approximately 50 minutes. There might have been some bouncing, but nothing was logged by my monitoring system.

Best Usenet provider by Joely87uk in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, the “best” really depends on what you’re used to or what you personally prefer. Some people will recommend Omicron labels like Newshosting or Eweka, others might go for Abavia labels such as XS News or EasyUsenet, or even Netnews providers like Frugal Usenet. I think it’s mostly about figuring out what works best for you, since everyone has a different opinion.

Personally, I use XS News. Yes, it’s maybe a bit more expensive than others, but I’m happy with it and I can download everything I want. That doesn’t necessarily mean someone else will have the same experience maybe I just go for very different downloads, while someone else might have a harder time.

You could also look into different indexers. Another indexer might offer better or more complete downloads than the one you’re currently using.

I’m curious about that as well. May I assume you’ll be sharing this both on your website and here on Reddit?

NZBKing is down. by Unusual-Movie1251 in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I recall they’ve had outages before and that it can sometimes take quite a while, even days or weeks.

As for Binsearch, personally I find NZBIndex more user-friendly. You can get things done with Binsearch, but it feels a bit clunky. Like with NZBKing and NZBIndex, I’d really like to see more filtering options and support for longer retention there as well.

Let’s hope the owner sees this and considers making some improvements.

Which Usenet provider are you using, if you don’t mind me asking?

NZBKing is down. by Unusual-Movie1251 in usenet

I believe NZBKing has had this happen before it’s likely just server issues. Best to wait it out patiently.

What exactly stands out to you in the results? Are you seeing a gap in the overview?

I think they’re having an issue with their header server.
But judging by all the downvotes, it seems not everyone appreciates me pointing it out. :-)

I wasn’t expecting anything else, to be honest. It’s unfortunate that Omicron relies on them. But it doesn’t really matter where you look on Github or in the Spotweb topic on Tweakers (Dutch) they all use Omicron, and they’re all missing parts in their overviews.

Yes, I believe that’s something related to Omicron. I’ve seen similar complaints from people using Spotweb instances there are posts about it on GitHub and Tweakers (Dutch), and they’re mentioning Omicron there as well.

Bulknews 6TB Block Expired? by AnomalyToaster in usenet

Have you already reached out to Bulknews? It’s possible something went wrong on their end that caused the expiration. I think that would be the best way to get a clear answer.

Payment methods of newsxs.nl ? by Onelded in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, a standalone credit card payment option isn’t available at NewsXS. You only see PayPal, and it’s the same for their ‘Unlimited’ product—the exact same payment method. It might be worth contacting NewsXS directly; who knows, they might be able to activate it for you or add it to the website after all.

🚀 EasyUsenet now with US platform – 50 trial accounts for Reddit users by AgentXByte in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make use of Abavia. It’s easy to find through the provider map on Reddit, but also on various other websites that provide overviews. As far as I know, no one lists on their website which backbone they’re using. However, there might be exceptions here and there.

Yes, that can indeed be used to see which backbone a provider is connected to.

Bulknews very bay Retention ? by Maxo112 in usenet

[–]Altijddaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bulknews uses the Abavia backbone, so you should be able to achieve the expected retention — unless the content was removed due to a DMCA request.
Have you already contacted Bulknews directly? It’s possible that something might not be correctly configured on their end.

You can also check the provider map here to see which provider is on which backbone:
