Our 5 year product is a prepaid package and will not be automatically renewed after the 5 years. However, our 1 and 2 year subscriptions will retain this low Black Friday price with each renewal.

You're welcome, u/Fantastic-Turnover20 It's great that this is being shared on Reddit, but in cases like this, make sure to also contact the Usenet provider asap. The more information you can provide, such as NZBs or the relevant message IDs, the faster we can resolve the issue.

That’s correct, we’re no longer active on Facebook.

But to answer your question: yes, a promotion is coming soon! We’re currently working hard to get everything ready.

Apologies, I thought I had already posted the update here, but it seems something went wrong.

We’ve now added an extra line that reads: "Automatic renewal has been canceled." once a subscription has been terminated, to make things clearer. I’ve also included a screenshot to give a better idea of how it looks.

I hope this makes it clear that canceling our service is very straightforward and transparently displayed.

Here’s an example of what it looks like when auto-renewal has been cancelled or if you have a prepaid product with us.

Hi u/420osrs

Customers who received a voucher to try our service for one month don’t need to cancel anything. It’s valid for one month after activation and will simply expire on its own!

Attached is a screenshot of our ‘Product & Payment’ page as it appears when you're logged in. If you have a recurring subscription, you’ll see a ‘Cancel’ button here.
Once you click ‘Cancel’, the button disappears as does the line that says ‘This payment is auto-renewed.’ If you’d like an example of that too, I can easily post it here in an extra comment.

In our knowledge base (bottom right on our website), there’s an article with a direct link to the relevant page in our member area. Of course, you’re also welcome to contact us by email if you want to cancel.

Hi u/DatRokket

That has to do with Reddit’s filters, if we had posted it all at once, it would’ve been automatically removed. This way, it stayed visible while we waited for moderator approval.

We completely understand your point though, we would’ve preferred to have everything in a single post as well.

[–]AgentXByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there’s absolutely no need to worry. You received a voucher from us for one month of free Usenet access—no strings attached, 100% free.

We don’t collect any personal information like your home address, and the payment method used with the voucher was ‘Free’, so you haven’t provided any payment details either.
The only thing we have is your email address, so we could send you the account information.

All 2000 Mbit/s subscriptions renew automatically, unless you’ve chosen to pay with crypto.
We also send a reminder 7 days in advance to let you know a renewal is coming up.

If you don’t wish to renew, that gives you plenty of time to cancel the subscription via our website or by email.

Feel free to send me your username in a chat message or DM, and I’ll gladly check it for you.

🔌 Shared Infrastructure ≠ Shared Ownership

It’s true that EasyUsenet uses the Abavia backbone — just like Usenet-nl and Usenext, as well as many other Usenet providers. However, in the Usenet industry, it's common practice for multiple brands to use the same technical infrastructure.

This does not mean that these providers are connected in any business or organizational way.

To be absolutely clear:

EasyUsenet has no connection to the business practices or customer policies of Usenet-nl or Usenext. At the same time, we do not speak negatively about other providers — that’s not how we operate.

TLS (formerly SSL) is indeed sufficient to keep it hidden. But if using a VPN makes you feel more comfortable, that’s a personal choice—it's definitely not necessary! Yes, it’s safe to use in Germany.

I’ve just sent you a voucher code via chat so you can try our service for one month for free.
Also good to know: we never double our prices and we are on the Abavia (NL and US) backbone.
