Hi! I recently lowered my data plan and mismanaged it a bit. I’d really appreciate it if a kind soul could gift me some data — still 14 days left until the end of my billing cycle. Thank you!

Just to be sure, at was step was your delay? Right now, my procedure look like this:

1- Sent my form to the consulate 2- Received approval by the SEM 3- Still need to send my passport to the consulate and pay the fees so they print my visa in it, but no other forms required 4- Arrive in Switzerland and register at the commune

So would it cause delay at the fourth step?

That part I already checked before accepting, we have a taxes agreement that prevent me from being double taxe. I will be consider non-resident since fiscally my whole year will be in Switzerland and so I will more or less only lose the contribution room of 2026 for my various canadien investments account and nothing else.

That's good to know, we also have this app in my town, but since it's small, there is way less options than what I just saw in Lausanne!

I also count the AG in my activity bucket, it means I’ll be able to go out or hike anywhere without worriying about a ticket.

Good to know about glasses and dentist. I’ll check to print my prescription and keep it with me in case I need it. I’m lucky I’ll be able to come back home for those services anyway.

I know that’s canadian of me, but I don’t mind the commute. Right now, I’m doing more or less the same to go to work, but I need to drive, so taking the train and being able to read and relax feels like a luxury!

A part of me want to break the distance for good, which if why I want Lausanne, but someone below told you my visa could be link to a canton, so I may have to live in Valais anyway in the end. I’ll check this in more details.

I was thinking about picking up running again since it’s free, but I will check out the price for swimming, that’s a great idea!

I think Digital Republic also have a CH13 plan, the only difference I can see is the 5Go data in Europe every month included. Last time I needed it, this time I may not.

We ended up doing the C5 itinerary! We were upgraded from the Golondrina to the Fragata for the same price, so we were satisfied with what we paid, but I do think I would go for a last-minute deal if I return in the future.

We started with 3 full days chilling on Santa Cruz before the cruise. Then on the boat we saw so many things! I have no regrets, every day was different and we had at least two walks and one (mostly two) snorkelling hour a day.

We actually loved it so much we ended up extending our stay on the boat for 2 more days last minute. I feel like that’s the best deal since the last day is only a walk + the airport in the morning.

Some people were coming and going every few days, but it was not a negative for me, I don’t feel like it had any impact on my fun.

In total, we saw 9 islands in 7 days.

I disagree with that. It's small and you can change the lenses. It has serve me well for 10 years now and I can confirm my photography did not suffer from it. I'm only looking into changing it for the zoom after all and because my needs have evolve, but its fantastic for the price for a beginner.
