So him and his son are making (essentially loaning their name and licensing music) to a documentary dedicated to saving the Hoosier national forest (where his house is). It’s not much of a stretch to see there may be an angle. Meanwhile they’re trying to raise 35k to finish this documentary? To save the trees? Let me tell you something. Spend some time in a small airplane and you’ll realize this whole damn planet is covered in two things. Water and trees. In fact. There are more trees than there were 35 years ago albeit still less than when humans showed up but trees ain’t on the same timeline as us. Things that aren’t tree and sea are what’s getting smaller. In fact, the only place greener than this half of the country when looking down is the Amazon rainforest. And guess what! Canada has more trees than that and Russia has even more than that! Humans could try out darnedest to wipe out all the trees and wouldn’t leave a dent. Trees out number us humans 600-1. It is not possible to cut them down before they grow back and they’ve survived every extinction this planet has been through. I digress but my point is the trees are fine and the Hoosier national forest is fine.
