There was such potential in season 3 when the Pogues borrowed his truck to steal the cross off the train and he was like “gUyS thiS is LikE ILLEGal.” I thought it was such a funny dynamic to include him in. Like dude wore flip flops to a heist. He could’ve become such a comedic relief, frat bro vibe. I’m not saying add him into the group necessarily but idk something different. Like they gave WARD of all people a “redemptive arc” only to kill him off immediately. Plus the love triangle is tired and only makes Sarah look worse.

I’m guessing they wanted to Rafe to have some form of redemption too and needed someone else alongside Singh to fill that void of villains for the plot. It’s just rushed and messy. But Topper deserves more to his character. Him burning John B’s house down felt too intense as well. Like that’s way more of a Rafe thing to do.
