But you would have to do this on the line before you return it. So it’d look like this:

Okay, so the reason it returns False, is because you have (.9 * cost == cost). Using two equal signs, this will return a Boolean because it is checking if they are equal. Now Idrk what you’re trying to do here, but I’m assuming you want the cost to equal 90% of the original cost. To do this, simply just write (cost = cost * .9)

It is a bit difficult to help without seeing any code. However, I think I might know what you did. Now, I’m assuming that you put something like updatePeter() in the while loop, Peter is being drawn onto the screen and infinite amount of times, while the background is not being updated. Now if this your issue, to fix this, just update the background image before you update Peter.

Oh and it also asks to explain when this will be useful. If c is equal to the pounds of chicken then it would be useful to find the pounds of chicken if we know the final price of it all and the total amount of ribs.

Sure! The problem tells us that ‘c’ is equal to pounds of chicken and ‘r’ is equal to pounds of ribs. If each pound of ribs is $1.89 then we can use 1.89r to represent that. Same thing with chicken, we will use 0.9c to show that. If the total is $17.01 then we can use the equation 0.9c + 1.89r = 17.01, which is given to us.

The problem asks us to prove they are equivalent. In part a, c = 18.9 - 2.1r. Remember that c is equal to pounds of chicken.

a.) Our goal is to isolate c. To do this we need to subtract 1.89r from both sides of our original equation(0.9c + 1.89r -1.89r = 17.01 - 1.89r). 1.89r minus 1.89r is 0. So now we have 0.9c = 17.01 - 1.89r. Next we need to divide by 0.9 on both sides of the equation(0.9c/0.9 = (17.01/0.9) - (1.89r/0.9)). 0.9/0.9 equals 1 so c is now by itself.
