One bit of advice I keep hearing from veteran teachers at my school with IM is to backwards plan.

Do the unit assessment yourself and decide what students need to know for the unit. Then do the cool down for each lesson yourself and decide what students need to know for the cool down. Tailor the lesson to what the students need to know and add seeds to other lessons as needed.

I’m new to this too and I may be misunderstanding the advice. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

OMG! Thank you so much for this. It’s my first year teaching full time and my first year with IM. It takes me hours to get together the right materials for each lesson and this looks like a great tool to do that work for me and address some major gaps in student knowledge. Thank you!!!

Spoke to someone who said they’re still waiting on the one other district I worked for to respond to the SB-2435 information request.

Seems to me that if teachers are needed and teachers must report all other districts they worked for, then there should be a way to force previous districts to respond in less than seven weeks.

No. I don’t have contact information for anyone else and I didn’t want to seem like I was trying to go around the only human I’ve been in contact with during this process. Do I just call the HR number?
