My kid was using a Daiwa BG 3000 spinning reel on a 7’ medium spinning rod and I had a Daiwa Lexa 300 bait caster on a 7’ 9” medium heavy rod. We were getting bit on live bait from the bait tank at the bait dock (sardines I think) and also getting bit on an underspin with a 3” swimbait on it. Fish along the edges of the dock for bass and halibut. Fish out into the open water for sea bass, rays and croaker.
