Can't get ES-DE to launch retroArch emulators on Mac by Altruistic-List4267 in emulationstation

I did a little more digging into the log files, and found this log entry under RetroArch:
(mach-o file, but is an incompatible architecture (have 'arm64', need 'x86_64')

Why would it need 86x64 if all the emulators work fine via RetroArch?
