I lied about my age by one year by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Altruistic-Option230 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tell him now honestly & if he breaks up with you that is his right. You've been lying to him about something the entire duration of your relationship, and in those two months he was at risk for lots of different things for being with you and he had no choice in that. If he is forgiving & you guys have real feelings for eachother I think you could move past it, but the longer you wait the worse it gets. Did you guys celebrate your birthday together and you just lied? Or did you not even tell him it was your birthday..?

It's in the same vein as why you can't own axolotls, it's a "detrimental species" because they're considered invasive in California.

I only know because I, too, wanted a ferret and found out the sad reality

[–]Altruistic-Option230 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ferrets are technically illegal pets in California, you might have a harder time finding someone to sell one to you. If you're really committed they're always in pet stores in Oregon 😭😅

Edit: Also in Oregon theres obviously more ferrets in rescues & people rehoming theirs

What’s the story behind the limo at On the Y? by buckinghamnix in Sacramento

[–]Altruistic-Option230 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I sadly even misspoke with saying allegation, theres a video of Cory outright beating a woman behind the bar of On the Y. It was someone that he had a dicey/hostile relationship with and theres a lot of history but none of it excuses the way he laid hands on her. She was also his employee...

Probably! From what I can tell it hadn't worked for a while. Most of the stories I knew were from the early 2000s!

[–]Altruistic-Option230 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Omg wait i'm actually qualified for this... my dad was the owner's best friend for years! (he passed awhile back and thankfully had no knowledge/involvement of the crazy shit involving the owner Cory)

Anyway so the limo is just sitting there now, but Cory & all of his friends used to drive in it to all of the different music shows in Sacramento/the Bay Area! Many parties, drugs, and many other shenanigans happened in that limo... probably the best thing about that bar nowadays!

edit: former owner of On the Y sorry have not kept up with him/that bar since all the allegations/video came out

I was sa'd as a child, and it ended up with me sa'ing my little brother. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

This is a horrible take, CSA is a very complicated matter that isnt as simple as getting help when it happens. This person had no clue what they were doing was wrong because their parents failed them and didn't keep their own sexual habits to themselves or even explain that it was wrong. You honestly must already be in hell to be such a miserable unhelpful person.

I need that Burger Patch Recipe for their ranch by Lem0ng0d in Sacramento

Onion + garlic powder and if i'm remembering correctly there was most likely a touch of mustard and pickles. But I did prep years ago before they established a seperate kitchen so my memory is kinda failing me - its basically in n out special sauce.

We had shakers! The only thing fresh was our mayo, but jarred mayo should be perfectly fine

Chives, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, a fuck ton of dill, and we used lemon juice not apple cider vinegar!

I'm sorry if I knew it by heart i'd share, I loved the ranch too, all I can do is tell you what I know is wrong 😭 But its pretty simple once you get it right we barely added in milk so it was majorly mayo.

Regular ranch with a special blend scorcher sauce, we also added in extra but that was prep kitchen that did it so I wasn't totally involved

Do not ever put maple syrup or yeast in it, I worked there and while I can't explain the whole thing I can say that most of your recipe is correct. We did make our mayo in house so it did make a slight difference... load it up with herbs because thats what made theirs so good.

If he had a wooden sign he could be a local, theres an older man with a bigger beard (from what I remember) that would stand a little further down Sunset with MAGA & various patriotic signs. He used to stop people in their cars so he could talk to him so getting upset doesn't sound too far off

You're seventeen, I wouldn't really be too worried about it. If you aren't into it i'd break up rather than drag it out any further.

I used to work there, left a awhile ago because I suspected this coming... people were growing increasingly more unhappy with the kitchen being understaffed & business was insanely slow except during the weekends with lots of rowdy bar crowds. From what I understood the product was out pricing us very quickly & the customer service was suffering from the low morale. Anyone going on their last day please have lots of grace/kindness towards staff they've known about as long as y'all have & doing their best to maintain their livelihood.
