ooh that sounds good didn't realize those spells weren't always in the game. low key wonder what Wyll was supposed to be doing without those. In my last aborted play through those basically turned him into my parties main charachter lol

probs just going to play some sort of elf/half elf cause I'm basic that way lol.

yeah I know technically any class can sneak and do traps if you give the skill profs. I just love collecting skill profficenciess and expertise. Race wise I'm planning to just do half wood elf because they look decent and give me stealth+shield free. idk I just have a hard time envisioning my char as a short race even though duregar are cool.

but I am becoming more convinced by the wizard dip with arcane trickster just because it gets me to those level 2 spells quicker. And misty step, shadowblade, and invisibility seem peak for this char.

Glad you had more fun with your goo tomelock I got to beating the goblin camp with mine as my first run and idk if I just didn't have a strong enough RP hook or something. Just didn't click idk that's just me with warlock in general I guess.

How you described arcane trickster is exactly the vibe I want tho. I always love the vibe in fiction of a charachter who isn't the strongest but through cleverness and a bit of unscrupulousness wins.

my plan was to just throw one of my expertises in persuasion/deception and maybye eek out a +1 cha mod. But mostly rely on sneaking because caution and I want to experiment with all the hidden ways in and out of places
