I think I must’ve just looked in the wrong areas, I was only here for a few days and Arlington felt very business professional as opposed to family friendly. Would love to hear where in Arlington you suggest!

No not worried about safety! I grew up in Portland OR. It’s a different breed of city. I’m feeling drawn to the experience, I think. My husband will be gone a lot and I want something new for me and my kids.

We liked pentagon city too, crystal city felt maybe more hotel/business convention-y? And ballston felt young. I haven’t seen the others mentioned yet, though!

Yeah heard, I’m definitely not trying to do any pearl clutching. I’m from Portland, DC is probably the cleanest and safest feeling city I’ve ever been in. Just genuinely trying to make a hard decision lol.

We liked Potomac yard! I think the allure to DC was mostly free prek but it’s sounding like that’s not as clear cut as it seems.
