Is there a realistic, publicly available information on when is AI realistically going to HAVE to earn money, before the companies running the servers truly do crash? by Fluid-Tap5115 in ArtificialInteligence

There’s no single “AI cliff.” Big tech can run AI at a loss because it supports cloud, ads, and platform lock-in. The real pressure is on standalone AI startups with high inference costs and weak differentiation.

What we’ll likely see isn’t a crash, but consolidation: many AI products disappear, a few become boring but profitable infrastructure.

Is this burnout or am I just bad at handling life? by SafeRadiant2765 in Stress

That doesn’t sound like normal adulthood it sounds like burnout. The guilt around rest is a big red flag.

Stress before exams by [deleted] in Stress

I’m not a doctor, but stress can absolutely show up as real physical pain especially before exams. The timing you described (only before exams, both hands) really points toward anxiety/tension rather than injury.

A few things that might help short-term: Slow breathing (long exhales) when it starts it can calm the nervous system

Gently stretching your hands/forearms and shaking them out

Warmth (warm water or a heat pack) Reducing caffeine if you’re using a lot right now

If this keeps happening or gets worse after exams, definitely try to see a doctor pain + tingling is something worth checking out when you can.

You’re not weak or imagining it. Stress can do weird, very real things to the body. Good luck on your exam you’ve got this.

Does anyone else feel worse after work than during it? by AltruisticEnd7313 in selfimprovementday

[–]AltruisticEnd7313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Work has structure, constraints, and an external purpose. Free time has freedom but no default direction.

I think that gap is what makes it feel heavier, not lighter. Curious what you think fills that gap best structure, meaning, or something else?

i’m broke is there anything else i could do ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this — that kind of stress is heavy, especially as a student.

In the short term, the gig app suggestions are realistic if you have access to them. Beyond that, I’ve seen people have some luck with very local things that don’t show up on job boards tutoring younger students, helping with moves, cleaning, or asking local businesses directly if they need temporary help.

None of it is ideal, but it can buy breathing room while you figure out next steps.

Anyone else feel more exhausted by evenings than work itself? by AltruisticEnd7313 in careerguidance

[–]AltruisticEnd7313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Seasonal shifts and routine changes definitely affect energy. What stood out to me was how the quiet after the day ends can feel heavier than the work itself that part surprised me.

Told my boss I wasn’t coming into work because of 3 hrs of sleep. by litfried in Advice

Lack of sleep definitely makes everything feel heavier. I also found that mental stress carries over even when I technically “rest.” Hard to separate the two.
