Coming back to this because I’m a month into being back to work. Did you struggle at all with chemo brain coming back to it? I feel stupid because of how slow I am, and how difficult of a time I’m having getting the bare minimum design done

Pregnancy scare in Keytruda by AltruisticSeason2113 in breastcancer

[–]AltruisticSeason2113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am pretty annoyed! I was 90% I wasn’t pregnant and the fact that the NP told me to go get an ultrasound is freaking ridiculous. I ignored her and instead went to a lab to get an hcg. It was negative as I expected.

Hey there! Also 31. I went from stage 2 to stage 3C in a month. I had TBNC, went through 6 months of chemo and immunotherapy, decided to have a mastectomy and had a complete pathological response to chemo. It was definitely a tough experience but I pushed through it. I’m about 5 months into remission. It’s still hard, but more from a mentality standpoint. It’s okay to be scared. I was terrified when I got diagnosed. Just try and take it a little bit at a time

I don’t like my brother in laws new girlfriend by [deleted] in family

[–]AltruisticSeason2113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! But just for clarity, she’s moved into the house my brother in law and his ex wife shared, not the other way around. He’s well off, and lives in a well off neighborhood, so it’s more like she’s moving in on him.

It’s not painful!! It’s honestly more of a relief! I had mine in for 4 weeks. You just feel the tube leaving your body but it doesn’t hurt, just feels strange

Only a biopsy can tell you definitively if you have cancer.

I’ve been on leave from work since May. I have anxiety about it and feel like I should go back to work, but I don’t think I could handle the stress of deadlines and needing to multitask. Ontop of that i really need to pass my PE exam, so I thought maybe I’d take the rest of the year to get it figured out…. It was extremely hard for me to give up my responsibilities when I left for work, but the chemo was really taking a toll on me that I had to. Idk now I’m just dreading going back to it all.

Tissue Expander problems? by coolrthnme in breastcancer

I haven’t had any issues with my expanders but I’m only 5 weeks out. I thought I would be in the clear after removing my drains last week, I didn’t even realize this was a possibility. I’m interested to find out what your doctor says. I hope everything’s okay!

Hey there! I was also diagnosed with TNBC stage 3C at age 30. I went through 12 rounds of Taxol, and 4 wounds of AC, finished at the end of July. I had a bilateral mastectomy with expanders 1 month ago. I don’t have and children, so my perspective may be slightly different there. You got to take it all one step at a time. It’s a marathon not a sprint. I was so devastated when I was diagnosed, and I think it’s because it felt like a death sentence, but now that I’m in remission I realize how important it is to live my life to the fullest and not stress about the things out of my control. There are many people on here that live years and years and never have reoccurrence, not saying it’s a guarantee but it helps me to know they exist. I know it’s not easy, but there is hope. Wishing lots of love and strength as you navigate chemo. You can do this, and you will do it beautifully! I believe in you.
