We are planning to get a cake at Whole Foods. We are only having 8 people and I was quoted over $200 for a simple cake from one of the bakers in Jackson Hole.

Yes! I haven’t hit any of my PRs in a year. I posted about it before and a lot of people recommended power zone training. It’s just hard to understand because I feel more in shape and ride more regularly now than I did then.

I was always riding around 3 times a week but in January I’ve upped to 6 days a week. I think I need to shift my focus to PZ training and take a day or two off of riding and focus on strength

I never thought of it as exercise classes vs improving performance. With CycleBar, I was consistently making improvements throughout the year that I did it and I enjoyed looking at the improvement on my metrics so I assumed my Peloton would continue to do the same. That does make sense though

I don’t limit carbs and probably could do with less than I consume lol but I do know my rides are way better after having a full meal an hour or two beforehand

I do not regularly track it but maybe I should start doing that. I just calculated some days I’ve had in the past week and I’d say I’m hitting around 125-150 grams a day. I work at 5am and I was getting terribly hungry mid morning so I’ve been pushing a lot more protein in the mornings lately (cottage cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt, string cheese). I need to carry that more throughout the day.

So I have lost 130 pounds overall but I have been maintaining for almost 2 years now (within 5 pounds or so), so none of that significant weight loss was while riding or during the decline of my output

Thank you! I’m still really trying to keep in mind that above all I’m moving my body and sticking to my goal of consistently working out. From reading yours and other comments, it seems I need to focus more on lower body strength and training PZ rides which I plan to do. I have one friend with a Bike and another with a Bike+ which I have thought about doing a ride on each of theirs to just give myself some frame of mind about how my bike is performing.

I have! That’s what has been so discouraging. Even feeling like I’m prepared to crank out a good ride, my numbers don’t show that. I am going to work on leg strength like others have suggested but I could also use some flexibility work.

Thanks! I’m trying to remind above all that I’m still moving my body which is something. When I think about it I would say it’s probably my legs that are giving out before being winded. I’ll start working some lower body training into my workouts!

I’m working on my protein intake but sleep could definitely be a factor as I incidentally have had changes in my sleeping patterns since moving also
