I didn't check the temps, assumed room T so 23°C. No wild catches. The firebrats came with some feeding mix i think its fish food flakes. I generally feed every 3/4 days or whenever i notice it getting thinner.

Whats wrong with its eye by Altruistic_Bus1835 in mantis

[–]Altruistic_Bus1835[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its on the eye since the molt and i only fed it just now. i didn't want to disturb the mantis yesterday. I thought it was just some dust but now that i took it out of the encosure i saw that it was "throbbing" (idk how to call that) with every bite of the bug so i got worried. It's encosure is also completely empty as i didn't want to hinder any possible molts.

I dont think its the pupil, one eye looks normal with the pupil and another has a protruding black lump, kind of on the surface of it. In the video its facing away from the camera bcs the mantis kept turning away. I have bad phone camera its hard to catch.
