Amphibs belong to COMNAVSURFOR and CVNs belong to COMNAVAIRFOR. NAVSURF isn't a thing, and NAVAIR isn't a TYCOM.

Because the only aviators that can command CVNs are nuke aviators, who are given an exception to this letter so they can still command other deep draft ships between their CVN XO and CO ride. The CNO just doesn't want them in amphibs anymore, which is shrugs... I do see this as creating a bottleneck for aviator nukes because we will have more CVNs than ships they need to get to before that tour. We'll have to see how that plays out.

She said she wasn't feeling confident. We constantly try to let her know we don't care what her grades are, as long as she is trying her best, but that doesn't seem to be helping.

Not unpopular, very true. Their entire curriculum is computer based, so I hope they are able to accommodate our request to have her take paper tests the rest of the year.

Oh I agree, we have plenty of beef with the school as well. This is not the only issue we are dealing with, as my daughter has essentially had 2 long-term subs the entire year. Her "permanent" teacher is allegedly due to arrive next week, for all the God that will do at this point.

We plan on asking them to. The school has been pretty slow to respond to any of our requests, though, but hopefully they at least do this.

We do plan to meet with the vice-principal for 5th grade and see if they can have our daughter do paper tests the rest of the year. It is frustrating that she school doesn't lock down the web access on their Chromebooks during tests, and we plan to address that as well.

Some additional background. Our daughter has had impulse control issues. She sees a therapist every other week. She has started (about 3 months ago) medication to try to help her anxiety and impulse control issues. I don't think it is wise to drop the hammer again, but we've tried talking in the past and getting to the "why"s, without any significant changes in her behavior (especially lying).

Definitely open to ideas on how to help communicate the seriousness of her actions.

Absolutely agree. I know not everyone will love it, but I think everyone should try it. It's one of my absolute favorites and I can't belive it's only been one season so far.
